Anyone know if 12Planet, Tipic etc will stop working on the P800 once the 15th October comes and MS implement their new security software? I think they will probably be unable to connect from then on.

...Yes, but won't it suffer from the same problem? It looks like any non-MS Messenger client won't work unless they have signed an agreement with MS.

Crap! Here I am on the subway, trying to log on to msn from Jmsn, error message: Service Unavailable.

Seems they closed it down..
Cant understand if msn work with any other clients, but if it does, let me know!

Seems only hope is that Microsoft release an MSN client for Symbian on their own, Cuz I really miss this feature on my phone

Well, it appears the JSN have updated their software to work with the new authentication scheme and you have to download it. I tried, and it now works. Was running 1.4 something and now running 1.5 and all works fine.

Thanks for the info, that's interesting. Also the article on MSN Messenger Plus, which sounds worthwhile if you use Messenger

Well, it works here, although I've found it's slightly less reliable connecting. It seems to take two attemps, the first one just sits there on "connecting." If I then cancel that login and try again, it works.
