Any free ICQ Java app for T610? Is it good?

Also, can you use Ericsson chatboard with T610?

yep the chatboard works with the T610. I have tested it myself too.

I have seen threads that suggest thats what "TTY Accessory" profile is for and I had not checked that. I have just done so however and that is not the case. When you connect the chatboard it says "CHATBOARD" on screen like it does on other phones but the profile remains unchanged.

No idea what TTY accessory is but the only two references I can find on google seem to relate to a device for hearing impaired people? hmmm...

Just found this Sony Ericsson Mobile Special Needs Center site which seems to confirm its accessories for the deaf.
