indeed laffen.... the main job of you and your team should imho be to monitor the contents of stuff posted on ESATO.
That does by no means relate to the issue of banning other websites (over whose contents you have nothing to say and indeed you will not be sued ) because they are over advertised (in the eys of teh beholder)
Those two things do not relate now do they?
Think again what august was on about.

A good example of why a site can be banned is show in the previous post. This new user "spammed" the forum with links to his site. He has not contributed to Esato other than posting three identical post with links to his free tagtag site and I guess the only purpose of the visit is to promote his site.
One to the Asia Pacific forum (he is from Malaysia), one to the "Lookin 4 wap site with.." topic in this forum and finaly the post you find here. This might be a newbie which didn't now any better, but if the posting pattern continues to be promoting site a bann will be added. |

@laffen you are still skirting the issue.
stop being a politician! why dont you just say it loud and clear and get it done and over with instead of playing with words: the reason you ban M O B I L E 9 and M Y T 6 1 0 is that you do not like the competition and you are afraid of the precious few activity you will be losing to those websites how else can you account for the ban?---and dont you say "llegal content" cause both sites dont have them.
can we say "censor"? sad thing is. you would not have this problem had you not make a such a feeble/pathetic attempt at a hoarding webtraffic.

@augustborn9917
About your statement "Posting helpful web sites". Most, if not all of your activity here on Esato lately has been about promoting your themes hosted on a particular web site. Why don't you promote your stuff on that site instead? Why do you keep coming back here if you don't like the Esato policy. BTW: the mods are just trying to follow my ever-changing policy the best they can. We often communicate, but don't bother each other every time a questionable post is moved or edited. Mods also have different view on what should be moderated or not.
In your opinion Esato censor you posts and are preventing free speech. Well, none of your critical post about Esato has been removed or edited by Esato mods. What we are talking about is a link to a particular web site. You will not accept that these links not are welcome here, but continue to visit Esato to promote this site.
The reason why you want Esato visitors to click on your links, is because it's something you have made yourself and you want as many as possible to download your products. Fair enough, but why don't you upload these themes to another web site that not are banned from Esato?
Look at the rules at e.g howardforums. It's OK to have a link back to your webpage in your signature but any off-topic spam will be deleted. That includes “helping people” by advertising your site to them or soliciting other members.. The Esato forum rules are set up as a guiding rule for members, and you are expected to follow these.
Esato can't offer the services we do today without any income. By constantly directing visitors to other competitive sites, the income and service level will be reduced. Notifying Esato members about new products, sites, themes is of course perfectly fine with me, but when a member only write a post because he want to attract visitors to another site, this site might end up in the ban basket.
I am not very fond of internet censor myself, but removing links to one or two web sites we all know the addresses to is not what I call censorship.
