Is the synchronization software for P800 different from T610? If I install them both will there be a conflict or will they both work separately? Any thoughts anyone?

I'm not sure about syncronization but I bet I read something on the P800 cradle on esato that you can use it for T610 as well. I tried it and it doesn't work as the program wouldn't detect the T610.
Can someone proves whether I was wrong?

I am using a T616 and P800. So I tried the same thing. No dice. Talked to SE and the sync software in the P800 package is different than the xtnd package. According to SE they also CANNOT be installed on the same machine because of some issues with how phone monitor works and what sync software it is supposed to activate.

I am trying some work arounds...will post if they are succesful
This all started because I ran over my T28 World Phone

I'm running a P800 and T610 and am syncing both to the same machine. It can work.

I first installed the P800 sw, and made sure it syncs fine. I then installed the T610 sw.

I've found that when both the P800 and T610 software is installed, the phone monitor options (control panel) controls the ports for the T610's connection, and the Phone connection link (taskbar) controls the P800's connection.

The basic rule I've found to work is that if you want to sync with the p800, switch off/disable all the ports in phone monitor options (control panel), and switch on/enable the relevant port on the phone connection link (taskbar). When I want to sync the T610, I do the opposite, namely, switch off/disable all the ports in the phone connection link (taskbar) and switch on/enable the relevant port on the phone monitor options (control panel).

It's not perfect, as you keep having to enable/disable ports, but it works & both phones sync fine.

PS - I sync through bluetooth, so I don't know what additional problems the cradle compatibilities would create.

Well this sounds like you are in a way uninstalling the p800/t610 ports when not in need...this sounds pretty understandable.
i too couldnt sync, but as soon as i uninstalled completly the P800 software, my t610 had no problem communciating with my pc
