i don't know if u already know this but i will post them anyway
thx to p800.it that made it possible
Step for step information to modify the graphical skin of the P800 clock
1) If you have the alarm clock activated in the clock deactivate it!!
2) With QFilemanager go to z:\system\apps\QTime and copy the QTime.mbm to wherever you want in c: or d
Remember: you must change the property of the Qtime.mbm coz it is set on read-only
3) From PC FileManager copy the Qtime.mbm to your desktop.
4) Use bmconv.exe to extract the files from Qtime.mbm, they should be six of them: the first four of them are the alarm icons and their mask, the fifth one is the clock image that we want to edit and the last one is the clock image mask.
5) Replace the fifth bitmap image with anything u want (dimension: 90*90)
6) Use bmconv.exe to create the new Qtime.mbm (example of the file I use to generate the Qtime.mbm:
QTime.mbm
/c8image17-00-42_0..bmp
/c8image17-00-42_1..bmp
/c8image17-00-42_2..bmp
/c8image17-00-42_3..bmp
/c24image17-00-42_4..bmp
/c8image17-00-42_5..bmp )
I use the command /c24 with the fifth image coz I wanted a better quality
7) I assume that u've already installed a pack language then go to C:\System\Apps\Qtime and copy the QTime.r0* file to your Desktop;
Open the file with a hex editor and edit the two strings z:\system\apps\qtime\qtime.mbm modify them to
c:\system\apps\qtime\qtime.mbm, replacing the Z letter with letter C:
Save the file
9) Copy the new Qtime.mbm and the edited Qtime.r0* to C:\System\Apps\Qtime
10) Choose the language in ur control panel and restart the phone
Now, the clock of the phone is skinned.
Enjoy

Wollyka sorry but can u please send me your .R0* file even though i have an american english language, can u still send me yours. Yesterday i installed the American language pack, the file appeared and everything, i modified the .mbm file and sent it to the QTime folder in C. The thing is that i modified the .R0* file in notepad. There seems to be 2 paths that say Z/................... NOW SHOULD I RENAME BOTH TO C/?? Is what i am doing right. Because i tried it, and it gave me an error. If you can send me your .r0* file to the following email ak15@mail.com that would be appreciated. I would love to try this. Thanx |

Anyone had any luckj changing this clock. I have tried replacing the Qtime.mbm file in C://system/apps/Qtime and then reseting the phone but nothing changes. Any suggestions?

Sorry to revive this old topic, but does anyone know if they can do this on a p900? maybe p910 owners would be interested too? I did it on my p800, it was too kool. Little bit tricky to do, but a very kool subtle mod. |
