Forgot to tell one thing more difference, between 68m and 68i, beside WAP 2.0 not implemented on 68m also customizeable theme (that you can edit some theme) also not implemented on list upgraded 68m, I thing this have relation, since theme on 68i is based on XML that maybe can only read on WAP 2.0 browser.

Reason that they not give WAP 2.0, what I have read somewhere, they said "if space is suffient then we give WAP 2.0" so I think this not possible, right HW is totally same, but since OS is difference (read Rxx013 with Rxx014) so this like if on PC 68m is like Win95 and 68i like Win98 they both almost same, but i this phone is reversed, that 68i OS is more efficient compared with 68m OS.

I agree with person who told that they simply forgot to mentione WAP 2.0 and other features too. We just need to wait and see.

I personally believe that my T68 will be indentical from software point of view with T68i after the upgrade.

Cheers,

I really dont see why "WAP2.0" should reserve a bigger memory area?!
As Epedemic said, think they just forgot it!

I think SE's servicepoints and personnel are relieved that the info has been published, they do not have to answer constantly our mails and calls anymore... hahah.... ESATO smashes SE Policy

Hello friends,

Please take in to consideration that they say "upgrade will be possible from week 20" in my mind this still means that they may release the upgrade before week 20 if they consider the upgrade program (changing OS) stable enough. By the way I guess that after the upgrade the software will be the same in both t68m(upgraded) and the T68i it would cost money to maintain two versions of sw if the hw is exactly the same (as SE claim that it is).

I will keep on checking the EMMA 2 regulary to see when the upgrade appears!

Cheers!

As far as I'm concerned.. WAP 2.0 is a non-issue since the current browser on my phone works fine... the most important features to me are the screensavers, caller pics, profiles which to me make the phone very versatile.

As mentioned in an earlier post, we prob have to wait a while because the software to upgrade (not the upgrade itself) the current version of t68 to t68i probably needs to be bug-tested.

Still I guess that all of our pressure worldwide from the EU to the Far East has paid off... forcing SE to come out with a proper reply.

Right now I can just imagine the crowd clamouring for the upgrade on week 20... all the service points will be choked!!!

Btw.. off topic question, I bought a 3rd party Ericsson earpiece for my t68.. is there any danger of the earpiece spoiling the electronics of my phone?

Thanks!

I think not having a screen saver will damage the screen. The background image will "burn" itself to the screen. So happened on my dv camera, so now you can see a cassette displayed on it all the time. Don't know if it's a danger for that in the t68 screen, but if it's lcd (think it is) this is the reason why the saver is there
