We talked about Ericsson, and the future of SE.
BART spoke about, that it would be nice, if SE built a T-39 look-alike, meaning a model with flip.

The flip-models from Ericsson (T-28, T-39) were very popular, and I think too, that it would be a good idea to have these models.

Therefore I took the T-39, and rebuilt it.
On purpose I didnt change the shape of the phone.

My version has got the following changes :

Bigger screen with colors.
Flip going straight across the front.
SE logo and speaker-unit.
No antenna.
Blue and silver-white colors.

So here it is :

I'm also doing some other "conversions",..quite fun

Well.....it looks like p800, only uglier-really boring.T39 is asimetric because of antenna, more chunky...

But this...
Just like Volvo: "buy Volvo- they are boxy, but good."...

dont get me wrong-intentions (yours and mine) were good.

Well, I cant really see the P-800 "look" in this T-39i.
P-800 has the buttons on the outside, and its flip is kinda transparent.
And its a lot higher.

I could have changed its outer "looks"/shape,..but didnt really want to do it in the first place. Basically because someone spoke about the T-series with flip from Ericsson, and they would like to see these models in SE-versions.

So the basic-shape was left original. I didnt want to alter it too much.
Although I could have rounded the edges off.

I'll try to do some more conversions, already working on some different ones

If someone would like to see a specific model, that doesnt exist, feel free to ask,..and I'll try to do it
Its just for fun !

INFANTINO > thanks

I'm basically doing this for fun. Ericsson did see some of my models before,..and I do believe they quite liked them

Some of them are at my site : http://jh67.homepage.dk

Okay,..just did a bit more work on it,..looks even more like a SE model now, I guess.
And NO, its not a P-800, its a T-39 which I redesigned
Its a bit shorter than the original T-39,..edges have been "rounded".
Screen made even bigger.

Hehe, thanks CadCad

I did actually speak to Ericsson design-dep. last year,..but they really didnt have the time at that moment,..it was in the middle of the merging with Sony. But they did like my ideas.

I would love to do design for
That would be very interesting

It looks great, but I wouldn't buy one because I don't like having a flip in front of the keyboard on my phone! It always makes for an extra move, whenever I wish to use my phone. I'm really lazzzyyy, I know!
I'm just not a signature kind of guy..

Very nice design, but I think you should cut of the flip cover where it meets the yes/no buttons so they are exposed. This will make it easier to accept/reject calls without having to open the flip cover
