Just got an answer from Swisscom on the code to be used to request a delivery report ... just type *n# in front of the text of your message. It works perfectly, not sure if the same code works on other networks too. Just a temporary fix while waiting for a firmware release that supports delivery reports.

Hmm, Does any one know if there is something we can do on the UK networks? I will give Orange a call now.

I have seen other posts here that say you need to use *0# on O2 in uk.

Elkman, are you sure you are not supposed to substitue a numeric
digit for the n in your *n#?

Nope ... I just tried a few times ... I just entered as is *n# and it works perfectly.

On Orange you put RCT at the start of the SMS. No spaces after it, just your normal text.

e.g. RCTWhat time are you coming over?

Thanks mate, really works with Swisscom. Stupid question: Does the delivery report cost extra? So do you actually pay twice for each sms?
