I found out that this hot cool phone will be available in the US sometime this month. For those in the US who already own the phone, where did you get it?
Any positive or negative comments on the phone? You are probably using VoiceStream as service provider, can you tell me a little bit about how iStream works.
Thanks much! |

Got my T68 in Europe and it works great; although it took a while to figure out the ins and outs with Voicestream. The one down aspect of the the phone, is that when you select GPRS on all the time, there are a lot of missed calls, hopefully this will be corrected when the phone is launched in the US. How sure are you that VS will be carrying the phone and where did you hear this.
Thanks |

Well, so far the largest GSM provider in the us is VS, so I think I can safely assume that VS is going to carry this phone. |

I got my T68 on Ebay, and use Voicestream service.
Incidentally, VoiceStream says that ericsson phones are not able to access their IStream Wap page (though others work). I can access it just fine.
Do any of you VoiceStream users have problems accessing wap.myvoicestream.com? |

wap.myvoicestream.com points to Infospace.com's website.
Did you talk to customer service on the phone? If so, they don't have an updated information on what phones Voicestream service will work on etc. You best find out about that elsewhere. |

Don't expect to see the T68 in the US with the approval of VS or Cingular until maybe February or March. If you buy it from other than the operator you may end up with early software and it's not as convenient to get software upgrades in the US. |

Did any of you upgrade to R1C? If you did, how? |

Yes, Cingular is a GSM provider too. I also read that AT&T is moving in the same direction.
Boy, it took these guys a while before they realize that GSM is the way to go. |

Thanks, dude.
Does anyone know about their prepaid services - or any other provider's prepaid, for that matter (VS excluded)? I will be visiting the US soon and I reckon I better avoid the exorbitant roaming rates everyone charges.
Thanks for the info.

Hi all, i'm using Cingular GSM service and was wondering if i'm able to access my wap service with the T68. I have tried to call customer serivce and ask for the settings for wap and was told there wasn't any. That all the settings were already programmed into the phone by Cingular before going to retailers. From what I have found out is that Cingular won't release the settings because of reasons, that you must buy a phone from Cingular to be able to use their Wap service. Please any info on this topic will help me. |

Cingular has requested the Mfgs preload and hide the settings. Maybe they are concerned about hackers or something. The Customer Service numbers do not have the settings to assist the consumer because they do not intend on supporting Non-Cingular approved phones.
Suggestion: Search the Web for Cingular WAP Settings or program your own ISP settings as a DaTa Comm. account. Use Ericsson pre-set Mobile Internet page as your home page. You'll only be missing out on Cingular's home page- All of which can be found on the mobile wide web. |
