Hi all, does anyone out there knows how to take the T610 apart?

I have removed the 2 screws behind but it still would not come off.

How does one remove the antennacover Cytech ?

On my old T68 i just inserted a nail (fingernail) on top and kinda lifted it of. The T610 antennacover seems to be attached a bit firmer..

I have one recommendation: DON'T!!!

SonyEricsson provides it's service centers with a special tool to open the T610 antenna cover. When it's off, you have 2 more screws.

Ps. I have seen the components that cause the hiss. It's 4 of them and they are the size of a , !!!

why do you want to dismantle your phone? if you do, next time you send it to the service centre, they will know and thus your warranty will be void. i sent mine for the calibration work and at the centre i overheard a conversation that a customer had his phone opened up before and the warranty was void.

Unlucky!
I have mine for just 4 weeks, wearing it in the pocket of my pants. Soon there was a lot of dust (from my blue jeans, I think) around the joystick and in the opening of the loudspeaker. As if this is not enough, now the joystick and all four keys arround it are not working anymore.
Do I really have to send it to SE all the time? Just to clean it...?

There we go !

Just took my brand new T610 apart. *S*

I'll tell all you scaredycats if it affects my warranty.

As soon as i get my custompainted faceplates i'll install them aswell. Oh no, what about my warranty?? (sarcasm)

In the end i guess to each his own. If you don't have the guts and can't afford a new one if you are clumsy and break it, let it be. On the other hand if you're not all thumbs i say go for it. take it apart, who knows, you might learn something in the process.

1. Remove Torx Screws ...

2. Lift up black back cover with your fingernails and push back carefully ...

3. Pull up antenna (green) at the corner and extract it carefully ...
