Ok a new version is released! Look at the first post in this topic for the URL's. I also posted the source code if anyone is interrested and the .jad file for Nokia users.

What's new?

- Different speed modes
- Pause function (Press FIRE while playing)

http://snake.dynalias.com/Snake.jad
http://snake.dynalias.com/Snake.zip (Source)

Feel free to use the source code for your own games and to publish this game on your own site. There are no copyrights on this game

that's very nice of you!

by the way, dude, is it possible to make the squares just a bit smaller so that there's more room to run around? thanks!

If you download the source and are able to compile it:

In Field.java, line 27, you can change the variable gridSize to any size you like as long as it's between 2 and your screensize

If you can't compile it, just wait for a new version, it could take a while, I'm very busy at the moment...

Yeah, but an easier way to do it is to download MetroWerks Codewarrior Wireless Studio from the Motorola developersite. I don't know if they still offer it for free though... With that tool you can automatically make .jar files...

Or Borland JBuilder, Sun One studio etc...

Hmm, I don't know what causes your download problem, it is working fine here... I just made a mirror, maybe this one works for you:
