Hi!
I am given to understand that it is not possible to record small video clips on SE T610. On the other hand, Nokia 3650 not only records small video clips but can also play video files of up to 70 MB or so, which get compressed in to 3 MB or so on its memory stick. If that is true can someone tell me plus points of SE T610 over and above Nokia 3650? I wanted to go in for SE T610, but the video bit and 10 times more memory space is tempting me towards 3650. Since it is a Sony Ericsson forum, I am sure that someone will be able to tell me numerous points in favour of SE T610.

But can you record small video clips on this SE T610? Playing of video files is a different thing altogether.

...and I suppose you have to consider how often you will record and watch video clips and compare being able to do that with having a big phone all the time.

Please confirm whether video capability and 10 times more memory space are the only two plus points of Nokia 3650 over SE T610.

First of all, you can't compare the T610 to the 3650.

The T610 is targetted against the 7250.

The 3650/7650 and Communicator are supposed to be up against the P800... that's not quite fair either, but that's the best Nokia has to offer.

If the 3650 can play 70 min of video, I can play up to 2 hours and 15 min... (Yes, I have stored a whole movie on my P800)

I have an IR remote, PC remote, & Winamp remote on my P800. As well as music (Ogg & MP3), videos (trailers, TV shows), a desktop reference encyclopaedia, oxford dictionary/thesaurus, Time, Newsweek, weekly weather forecast, and some comics. I also keep street maps, pictures of my friends and family, and a small journal.

Now, back to the T610... it's less than half the size of the 3650. That's its main selling point. It has a small camera for fun shots, a few games, internet, bluetooth, a 16-bit screen, and better battery life.

If the T610 is too expensive for you, or you don't mind the size of the 3650 (whatever people say, it's still huge...it's bigger than the P800 and has a puny screen, compared to the size of the phone, and an ugly keypad) ... then go for the 3650.

Yeah, you are right. But if I compare Nokia 3650 with SE P800, you would find that Nokia comes at almost half the price. I was comparing Nokia 3650 with SE T610 as both these are almost at the same price point (T610 is slightly costlier).

If you dont care about the size, look, battery time and the weird way the buttons are placed on the 3650, there is no reason too choose the t610.

Well, if I am not bothered about the looks/ size of Nokia 3650 and the way the buttons are arranged on the phone, can anybody give me any other reason due to which I should prefer SE T610? Frankly speaking, I was floored by the features of Nokia. It scores on almost every count, barring probably the GPRS speed which seems to be faster on SE T610. Any reactions from Sony Ericsson lovers?
