Hmmm.. Just rang em and its only wap access included, email and internet is charged for as per normal. She said its just like access pack but can be used on OVP tariffs as well. ~Eva

Anyone got any more to add to this? Would be interested to see if people have been told different things!

Get your facts right will you!
It's called the mobile email promotion, and it gives you free access to the orangeinternet apn for 3 months to use for mobile email. Usage is unrestricted, but subject to a FAIR USAGE POLICY of 10MB, if you persist in exceeding 10MB you will be removed from the promotion.
People who have had this promotion or the SPV pack before will not be eligible for the 3 months introductory offer, and the normal monthly charge is £4. |

Perhaps you should get your facts right!!
The promotion is for the orangewap apn and not internet apn. I wish it was for the internet apn but you can't have everything. |

NO! The Mobile email promotion is for the orangeinternet APN, the OPEN ACCESS promotion is for the orangewap APN. |

My apologies to you. However can you clear this matter up for me cause I have rung 156 and drawn a blank. Can I use the e-mail promotion for internet access (i.e web page surfing) through my laptop. The APN they have sent me wont allow WAP access (wanted to get rid of access pack if poss).
your help is appreciated |

Boys Boys boys! Easy now!
I have looked into this emensly. I called Orange about 20 times and spoke to loads of staff just to make sure this package includes access to all areas (web/wap,ect) and it does ok. The promotion is intended to attract buisness men but anyone can take advantage of it (there just not advertising it much!) I made sure I took the time date and name/extention of ther guy who activated it on my acount. If they do f**k up i'l have em, but belive me call them up and see for your self-its a promotion. |

I activated the promotion this morning and the settings they sent me do not allow wap access. I cant get on any wap site. If i change the profiile to the orangewap APN (access pack) its no problem getting onto a wap site. Looks like ONLY POP 3 access and NOT wap/web access. ps The POP 3 access works like a treat. There's alot of confusion on this matter. Hopefully this will resolve it.
I am using a t68i by the way. R5d007 |
