I can use my t68 a hole day when the standby and talktime is on 0 hour, any one know why ?

I have the same question about the battery too
first, it shows no battery, (if not many call) it still can last one more day till it turns off itself. Does it mean that the battery indicator is not accurate?
second, about the reception indicator. Dont know why it change so often like from 1 to full, 2 to 4 every second. totally different to nokia or motarolla. they seldom change that much for reception tho.
anyone knows? |

Im also a bit hazed in the charging of the battery. What i do is,i wait for my phone to go on low-batt (red blinking light) then i charge. I haven't tried charging it even if it still has power. But from what i know, Li-ion batteries are capable of charging even if it still has power, without affecting the life-span of the battery. Unlke the Ni-Cd that you have to drain it first before you charge it.
Now my question is, is it ok to charge my T68 even if it hasn't reached the low-batt limit or haven't drained itself? Will my battery life last longer?
Replacement battery here will cost up to $20.00 U.S. Dollars
Original batteries from ericsson is a lot more expensive |

Not only it does not affect life-span, in the contrary, it prolongs life-span.

Yes, it's recommended.

If I am not mistaken, the batteries that the  phones used are called Lithium Polymers (Li-Poly). They share the same characteristics as older (Li-Ion) batteries.
DO NOT DRAIN totally the battery for it will result in a shorter life span. You can charge a Li-ion battery even if it is not "drain- dead".
You know, this is not a hard and fast rule. Though, you can really charge a Li-Poly/Li-Ion even before they get totally discharged, they last longer if you can do a complete discharge cycle.
In the case of my old nokia 6150 (it uses a Li-Ion), my original battery that came with it lasted for almost 3 years, my friends' batterries lasted only for about a year. It's not that they got bum battery units, I always keep it a point to fully discharge the battery (leave it until it "dies") whenever possible (1x a week at least), while they charge they're batteries by "topping it off" (charge it whenever they could, even if its not drained yet).

Thanks for the insight.. that article was pretty convincing. As far as from what i know of the Li-ion or Li-poly batteries, it is recommended to charge them with power and not 'fully-drained'. After reading what you posted it convinced me more of using that technique. thanks man!

I've heard about that too, that you should at least discharge your Li-ion/Li-poly batt. for at least once a week. From my previous phone, i haven't really done that.. but given a second thought that you've had your own personal experience to that, i think ill try it. But ill do it once every two weeks (just to be sure hehehe ) and thanks for your share of thought  |

hi all ,am new here so i will be glad if someone help me with this
thing:: i got a t65,after a full rechargering,and useing the first quarter
of the batteri the phone starts to give me a red light and saying
"attintion low batteri" twice and switch offand when i reach the half
of the batteri the phone starts to give me a red light and saying
"attintion low batteri" twice and switch off?!?!!again
when i switch on every thing keeps normal till the indecator of
the batteri reachs the final quarter ,and the same thing it switch off again......so please any can help me !!!!!!! |
