Ok, ok guys! Keep it simple! U can't talk about the GA316 and stuff! These r too old! The whole A series is crappy but the T20 4 example is a tank!Even the r320 turtle is a damn tank! The BAD ones, pls not the good ones:)

hmm, maybe the a1018 (and probably all of its decendents), i had one upgraded from a ga628, the ga628 was the biggest selling phone ever in the uk (at the time), and the a1018 seemed like a poor attempt to keep up with the where the competiton had moved on to, instead of leading it, siemens c25 came out at the same time and had the same features in a phone half the size and the same price, it was obselete within months of its release.
Fortunatly they then brought out the t28, i was selling mobile phones back then and i remember thinking it was the most incredible phone ever, and was still a good phone 3 years after it first came out.

i switched from a t68 to a t39 because phone book management and calendar functions is more detailed and advance in the t39.

well, ok.

i always had a palm pilot in hand to organize my calendar and contacts before. then years ago, i bought a 7110, and then the R320. my needs are specific, i just need a device with calendar and PIM functions so that i can synchronize it with Outlook on my PC. then I got the chance to buy a T68i. I was happy because it had a Task function that i could also sync with outlook. well the T68i also had Notes but unfortunately you can't sync it with Outlook. as i used the
T68i, i discovered that certain fields in my outlook cant be synced. also found out that you cannot set a "recurring" event in the t68i. For example if you set a Birthday or Anniversary, and then make them recurr for 10 years, it's never possible. Also there's a feature in the t39 under the Tasks, that you can set the priority of a certain task, and so with if the task is "started", "not started", or "ongoing". sadly in the t68i, functions like these are not available. Also if you set a Calendar in the T39, you have fields like a)subject b)location c)descrition, but unfortunately in the t68i, it's non-existent. There are more but these are just a few. In regards to phonebook management, in the t39, the first name and the last name fields. this is so frustrating in the t68i because it will just mess up your phonebook for example: You type in your outlook [First Name] Randy [last name] rivera. then after syncing it, your entry will now appear as [First Name] Randy Rivera [Last Name] . See? so i have to manually retype everything again.

Well those are just a few highlights of the better features of a t39 versus a t68i. I still havent mentioned the more advanced features of my R520 to a t68i

but of course the t68i has a colored screen, wap 2.0, themes, nice joystick, smaller size, bigger resolution. but aside from these things the t39/r520 is better for me than the t68i

The T18 was a magnificent phone, and the best of Ericsson's 5V phones. It had voice dial, graphical display, vibrator and a well thought out design. This phone made the most of the simple OS it was built upon.

So don't be talking bad things about that phone.

AMPS AF-738 and AF-778; they were really sucky. Every week or so the 738 kept on having to be reprogrammed (no sim card back then), then the little flip fell off, I dropped it in the toilet and was gone (this was my fault).
Then because I liked the design so much bought a 778 and it kept on heating up really badly on a 15 min+ call, and had really bad reception.
A mess!, here in Mexico for years after that, the carrier who had these phones (Cedetel, now Telefonica) did not want to sell any Ericsson, and if you asked why they didn't carry Ericssons they'd tell you they were really bad phones.
Was this a model only sold in America?

a choice between a A1012 and a c25 well i don't see that as a mistake.

well that mistake could've saved your life. some years ago the c25 was on the news, some 12 cases of exploding battery's, one man almost lost its ear, serveral incidents were on the news whit the 3310. those damm old battery's. so be lucky.
