I expected there to be a calaender, was suprised when there wasnt just an events option, which is useable untill it happens. SE is willing to update my firmware, but im gonna hafta doublecheck to make sure this will be the most recent update, becuz they say the next time i have my phone updated it will cost.

Nobody could be more specific than they were last time. They will lose money if they add it because then i don't need the T610 Seriously I like my T300 so much that if I get the calendar I might keep it as my primary phone.

ah come on you guys, i dont mean to be rude or anything but i think the news is still unclear and there still huge possibility that SE will NOT add this function to T310. the news is near-bullshit and the ericsson guy who spread this is a crap of disgusting liar.

look what happened to t68i petition..... NOTHING!!! they just leave the community daydreaming about java or mophun in t68i. even in its latest version (r8a) there still no mophun. and t68i has already near its end-life cycle, so forget about it.

those jerks try to fools us again. gave us promise without clear objection or condition. example how much petition is adequate enough to make SE see what we want? there is no answer about that. make a millions petition and i swear those liars just sit there laughing us that dreaming about upgrading our phone to the latest software.

SE is a big company, dont rely on some unclear insiders that tell us many shit. they might be just some junior engineers or some back office staff that doesnt have any decision makers ability within the company but act as if their opinion heard to the near- deaf - board of directors. (and personally i think SE board of directors is half deaf).

i signed the t68i java petition but now i am tired waiting and feel like a fool.

fortunately you are wrong!
I just got the new R3 software for T310, and it has indeed a real fine calendar, a notebook, and even T9 for Hungarian...

I hope they do put a calendar in & I can IR dates etc between it and my T610 (guess I should be able to) don't see why it only had Events on there when the T65 had a calendar

They did: everything is as promised, and even more!
Calendar, sync - but the notepad and hungarian t9 came as surprise.
I haven't tried with another phone, but with Outlook it (R3 firmware) now certainly can sync the calendar and contacts.

A happy bunny.
