I have difficulties connecting my P800 to my Windows XP system (to which I recently upgraded from Windows ME).
In Windows ME, I did not have any problems at all: the phone would connect and syn just fine (with very minor glitches that I could cope with).
Now it's a different story: when I put the phone in the cradle, it starts connecting, but after a second or two I get the following message:
"mRouterRuntime MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Has anyone experienced the same know how a workaround?

Searching in this forum, I found that somebody else had a similar problem, the difference being that the phone is not recognized by the system.

In case it helps, my PC configuration is as follows:
MB: ASUS A7V8X
CPU: Athlon 2100+
RAM: 512 MB DDRAM
HDD: 35 GB
Video: GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64 MB

I had McAfee VirusScan and Firewall enabled when I was installing SE PC Suite, so maybe the problem is somewhere there (I shall check it as soon as I get back home).

Useful thoughts are highly appreciated!

Best regards to all

do a search and read the various solutions from different ppl - theres loads out there.

I would certainly try turning off any firewall software - this is a known cause of the problem.
