Hi,

I'm ready to go for it now - especially since the prices may go up after April (increase of £50/phone as told by Orange shop assistant). So can someone point me to the cheapest deal currently available for a P800 on Orange (Your Plan 400), and also actually have them in stock today.
I have seen the following deals:
smalltalk.co.uk - £49.99 on YP 400
cyren-communications.co.uk - £47.99 on YP 400

Any better deals out there???
TIA

http://www.mobilesuk.net phone is £120.99 on yourplan 400 with £100 cashback and you can drop the plan after 4 months. I think you have to stay with orange for 6 months because they say you need to send bills 4, 5 and 6 to get the cashback. Still £20.99 but you have to hold out for 6 months to get the £100 back. Everything supplied in the box that you are supposed to get, I have heard that some places dont supply the memory duo to cut costs. I got mine 2 weeks ago from them and very pleased with it expexially since i needed a basic digital camera and i have an old monocolour PDA i only carry the phone with me now. As far as i know they have stock and i got mine next day no probs.

Personally I think you should have taken the £24.99 offer.

Financially it is cheaper than paying out £120 and getting £100 back in 6 months.

Right I know you guys are going to say that the cash back works out at £20 which is cheaper than £25, but if you look at the cost of money and it's value today:

That extra £95 you pay today on your credit card (£120-£25) at (let's say) 16% apr cost's you almost £8 in interest, providing you don't pay the credit bill until you get the £100 back. If you pay the CC bill straight off it ties up £95 cash flow for 6 months.

Anyone else considering the two options go for the £25 one and earn the guy £10, maybe we could set up a recommendation chain, meaning that everyone gets recomended by an Esatoee and then recommends another Esatoee and everyone gets a phone for £15!!

Almost in line with this topic.

What is the cheapest upgrade price any one has found. I am on Orange and don't want to change my number!

It's £250 from Orange themselves, has any one else seen something better than that?

The best deal has to be from clubmobile.co.uk - they'll BEAT anyones price by £10! This means £14.95 for a P800!

I ordered mine from them Monday, and it should be with me tomorrow morning (Thursday). They dont list the P800 on their site currently, but if you phone them they do stock it. Ive bought two phones from them before and been pleased with the service.

Also they give you £25 (!!) for a recommendation!! If anyone gets one from there please let me know as the cash wouldnt go amiss!

This business confuses me too much.

Buying a p800 on contract for around £25 sounds amazing. But does this add a large whack on to your monthly line rental? I presume it must do, as you must pay for the phone some how.

How much does this work out over all?

Is it really cheaper in the long run to buy a sim free p800 for around £350-£400?

I've never known something as confusing as mobile phone costs and contracts.

Abu, thanks mate, Ive sent you a PM

roskelld, yes buying the phone for £25 means you are charged more for line rental, I will be paying £45 for 4 months - then you are allowed to change your tariff to whatever you want.

This works out cheaper than buying the phone on a cheaper contract.

Ie for me:

Phone £15 (£25 - £10 clubmobile price beat)
4 months at £45
TOTAL = £195 - then I can change to whatever tariff I want.

If I started on talk200 for example, at £30 a month:

Phone £115 (£125 - £10 clubmobile price beat)
4 months at £30
TOTAL = £235

SAVING = £40 - and you get 4months of having loads of inclusive minutes! (and texts sometimes). Its gotta be worth it for £40!
