Difference between DRS-10 and DRS-11 Serial Cables
According to Daniel Hertrich, the DRS-10 does not have a DCD (data carrier detect) line. The DRS-11 includes this, aside from using a newer chipset, MAX3386.

DCD, together with DTR (data terminal ready), DSR (data set ready), RTS (request to send) and CTS (clear to send) are handshaking lines. These are used by devices to exchange information about their status (whether or not a device is ready, can send data, can receive data, etc). The need and use depends on the kind of data transmission you run and on the software which handles the transmission.

Device Compatibility
According to the SonyEricsson office in the Philippines, both the DRS-10 and DRS-11 Serial Cables can be used with the T68 and T65 phone models.

Thanks pare, I guess it will be better to get a DRS-11 rather than a DRS-10. But is the DRS-11 available in the Philippines na?

Afaik DRS-10 is GSM-only, while DRS-11 additionally supports TDMA. So if GSM is what you use (which is what I presume), the choice of the data cable is of little relevance.

Thank you for all of your Inputs, thanks Arnoldc!

Actually i already bought a DRS-10 without knowing the difference of the latter. And so far it functions ok, i guess.. well whatever tech-schnet it is that the DRS thing brings, its ok with me just as long as it works with my T68. Ang mahal ksi ng bili ko tapos hindi pala compatible. Mabuti kung kamukha ng states ito na pwede mo i-refund yun money. So again, thank you for those who posted, more power!
