Al,
make sure you have not got your bluetooth turned on. That'l eat your battery up.
Are you using GPRS? If not then turn that off too.
You should get 2 to 3 days battery life out of the phone, but you'll have to wait after a few full charges first.

Hi,
Hmm...are you sure that bluetooth will drain the battery ? I have it on all the time, and when using the phone "normally" it lasts for 2-3 days without re-charging.
Normally means (in my case) a good portion of calling, using apps and playing games..
So, conclusion is that my battery at least is great, even with the bluetooth on

BT does drain the battery, because it needs battery power to be constantly searching for other BT devices etc.

i had a similar problem. i think it was because i set my WAP to never discnnect. i changed t to a 5 min timeout and i am getting better bat life. i surf WAP for 45 - 60 min a day. i have another 40 min in calls, and its a new phone and i play w/ it all the time.

Hi PaG,
are you sure you have your Bluetooth set to On? It may be on Discoverable (I think it times out after 10 minutes) or set to Auto (only switches bluetooth on when you use a function on the P800 that requires it) if your battery is lasting 2 to 3 days. But yeah, if Bluetooth is always on then your battery will drain faster than a chocolate fireguard will melt!

Have you got 'magic word' permanently on?

The "on" setting will drain as much battery as the "discoverable".
The phone listens to other Bt devices on both settings...
But it only answers "known" units when set to "on"

Have you gone into control panel to turn on the powersave mode to 2mins? This will turn off the LCD after 2 minutes.. Wish they made it 1 min also..but I've found that turning this on keeps my phone running on a single charge for a few days |
