nakakapikon sun... waaaa
hirap tumawag...

sabi ng bro ko (who works as call center agent sa sun) gumaganda daw ang srevice ng sun pag nagaalisan na yung mga subscriber... para bumalik ulit, tapos congested ulit... tapos alis ulit, gagada ulit, then babalik mga tao, then congested... haaay...

Isnt it funny, reading the first few pages of this thread, then reading the few latest ones... before, you'd see people getting indignant when someone says that SUN's services isn’t that good. But now, when people say otherwise and no one refutes them na. Then again, bago pa sun nun right?

Now, I think SUNs tagline is UNLIMITED texts and calls for LIMITED periods.

And dya know what sucks more? You call 200 you wait for aaaaaaaages. When you get connected, those people will try to sound as if they know what their talking about, or they would treat you as if you don’t know any better. Maybe they shouldn't assuming just because we subscribed to cheap services, we dunno any better, yeah? Then they put you on hold for aaaaaaaaaaaaaages till you get disconnected… So you would call again, blah blah, just for the process to repeat. But then again, you cant complain with the cheapness (yeah, pun intended).

Oh, and there was a time, this lady put me on hold, after 15 minutes, the hold button was accidentally pushed I guess, coz I could hear her make tsismis and laugh… the kind of laugh where it grates the ears… but then again, as I’ve mentioned, SUN’s service is cheap, so what can you expect. ^_^

I’m not really complaining since despite knowing this all, I still use it… yeah, coz its cheap.

Just venting out, no offense meant.

for better voice call quality, responsive exchange of SMS (even with weak signals), try activating a HIDDEN 3rd option for 3G (UMTS) signal only. This is possible when using MyPhoneExplorer.

Start MyPhoneExplorer and connect your fone (SE 3G capable fones only)
Under PROFILES, the 3rd hidden selection for Network Mode is UMTS only. Select this option.

This is hidden on the phone menu. So when you've successfully shifted to this option, there will be no check marks on your fone band selection
>connectivity >mobile networks >GSM/3G Networks >
>GSM and 3G (automatically switches between the 2 modes)
>GSM only
the 3G icon on top of the screen will always appear

IMPORTANT NOTES
1. effective only for as long you are within a 3G signal coverage area
2. from experience, only Metro Manila has 3G signals. Most of the places I've been meron. Except inside offices where Sun signals are boosted by inhouse repeaters, these are not 3G so more than likely expect weak signals (but still reliable) since the 3G signal you are receiving is coming from an outside cellsite
3. outside Metro Manila no more 3G so you have to manually revert on your phone back to either GSM and 3G or GSM only

Ying, nabuhay ka ah..

Pero you don't have to do that, at least for Smart. Whenever the [H] appears beside the signal strength meter, UMTS yun.

if meron ka sun bossing i'm sure alam mo gano kahirap magsms or tumawag lalo na kapag peak hours. pero i noticed if set mo fone mo for 3G only operation via MyphoneExplorer (UMTS 2100 only), dramatic ang improvement sa quality ng calls and ambilis rx/tx ng SMS. 3G only meaning yun radio ng fone will not use its 900/1800 mhz rf section.

@bReAkIcE never been experience that annoying paranoia. Tama lang naman ang charging sa 'min (nakakakuha pa nga ng free phones eh... first, a K510i, then, a LG GB230, and a Samsung Corby). We have a group plan in which one pays 350php.

So far, Sun has the fastest 3G network here in the Metro compared to Smart and Globe. But without video calls.

Sun also has better cellsites than Smart.

I'll better check out that 3G only option on MyPhoneExplorer. Hope it has that option for G502.

I called the hotline, nag reklamo ako. and they said they will look into it.

so ok, pinabayaan ko muna for the meantime.

Tinawagan ko ang smart # ko and also my sons smart #. pina ring ko lang. i saved the call log, date and time.

Ang dali kumita no???????????
