You might not like what I have to say. T610 |

Am troubled:
When I first heard the news about the new T610 I could not contain my excitement; but as I continued to read the user forms it’s being to dawn on me that this phone might face the same fate as the P800; being old technology before it’s out.
One main point. Am willing to put money on it that by the time the phone is released Hutchison 3G will have their services up an running . Where will that leave a phone like the T610, F**ked I tell you.
Last point. The phone is going to be in the market against the Nokia 6650; You check the specs out and tell which one is the better of the two. Or am I just speaking Crap.
Your comments welcomed.
P.S

The SE 3G phone kicks the Nokia 3G phones butt. My guess is that 3G will not have any large market share this year but maybe next year.
The Nokia 6650 is probably the most crappy 3G phone launched this far

Come on think about what I’ve said:
Ask yourself.
1, 3G Network is available to me at the moment. I would like to use it! Which phone should I buy? T610 or 6650 humm hard choice I hear you say. NOT !!!! The Nokia will win each time. To people that don't know any better.
2, Come SE what were you thinking. If this phone is released here and now then yes it’s got a chance. But in the 2Q and 3Q, I can promise you even the most faithfully of fans with being to question themselves.
P.S
Yes I am going to buy myself a T610 and I don’t care how much it costs.

Most people can not understand 2.5G let alone 3G. Handsets will cost twice as much as T610. The T610 is not a competitor to 3G so it will serve a different market. 3G won't even begin to take off until the other networks join in and that won't be until 2004. By the SE will have a 3G T610 replacement.

Ur talking shite mate,SE's 3g killer is the z1010,and when will that be out, summer onwards! You seem to think everyone will have 3g as soon as its available, how many have colour phones now! Anyway,if t610 was meant to be 3g it wouldnt be the t68i successor! :-)

The T610 will survive. 3G won't slow down sales of the T610.

If T610 is a competitor to the Nokia 7250. Then there will no problems there. As we all know the T610 will kick butt in that field. But we all know very well that Nokia bring phones to the market VERY quickly.
I guess my point here is that will SE make it to see the end of 2003....

AFAIK SE are selling quite good right now. The T68i is quite cheap and the T100 is selling very well on the markets where it is available. The P800 is also selling well (in the markets where it is available) and will soon be launched worldwide.
3G networks will only be available on very limited places this year, and will not make much of an impact on phone sales. And as I said earlier the Nokia 6650 is the worst 3G phone announced so far, not only is it's features not very good, it is also very ugly (like a 4-year step back in time).
The T610 looks very good compared to the rest of the GSM phones. |
