I have bought and sold quite a bit of things through ebay with 100% feedback. When I am making a purchace for anything over $50 I do the following:
1. Email the seller and get a phone #
2. Pay with credit card if possible, PayPal isn't 100% safe as far as getting your $ back if things go wrong.
3. Give them the CC# over the phone! This forces them to give you a Phone #.
4. Have them take a pic of the screen with the phone on. If it's in Chinese (or something) you know the phone is probably locked or non english version.
5. Email previous buyers from the seller and ask how did the auction go.
6. Never wire funds. Credit cards work everywhere....it's worth the small %.
I bought mine from a retailer in Virginia that had an auction going for a couple units. He had his Phone # in the auction so I called him and asked all the questions I wanted. $729 USD plus shipping and a 4% credit card fee. It was on my door the next morning as advertised. Final US version (Made in France). Which is suppposed to be better build quality than the Maliasian (sp) version. I won't use this forum to advertise but email me Lear60man@aol.com and I'll pass along the info.
