i'm just wondering why my cousin's t68 doesn't have T9? he bought it at greenhills for 19,500... although he can write chinese text on it. i think he has the t68mc.

so, can a software upgrade add the T9 back to his phone?

@beatrix, may pag asa yan. why? the T68 replacement given to me by smartnet is T68mc but loaded with R2B with English T9. they know how to wipe out the chinese version. paki usapan mo na lang si Gilbert Mariano ng smartnet. they may charge you, but what the heck if they can make your phone "normal."

That's the tradeoff for chinese text capability - no T9. And its not unique to the philippines, but common to markets with chinese residents

Well, he wants the chinese input kaya nga yun yung binili nya. just wondering bakit walang english T9. Correct me if im wrong 8250 pwede input chinese and have T9 right? i'm not comparing but just saying na it's possible with nokia. nasanay kasi sya T9 with his 6210.

SO there's no change of having both chinese input and T9?

oh cool, so that's what's on my phone right now! I thought I was the only one with this problem of no English T9 input but that crazy Chinese thing.

@azndude, have your phone upgraded to "R2B, Latin 1"
