Hello.
Just got my phone unlocked and i am trying to get the o2 gprs to work, but so far am having no joy. It keeps just saying activation rejected when i try to load it up. I'm using Opera to do this, but the built in browser is having no joy either. I just tried to phone o2 customer service (what a joke) but they were closed. Don't know if they will be open and able to help tomorrow?!?!
so, can anyone help with the GPRS settings for an o2 sim. Any help is really appreciated. i have it set as my preferred account and it is trying, it's just isn't working.
thanks,

I'm not with O2, I use Vodafone, but I just went to the O2 web site and found this... http://www.o2.co.uk/productsservices/mobileinternet/setupwap/findsettings/0,,131,00.html
does it help?

hey thanks, i couldn't find that... i kept getting linked to some other page. thanks a lot.
but, what i need is something more. it is more a problem with the p800 and o2. does anyone in here use a p800 on o2.
Plus, do o2 have a proper GPRS service, not a wap GPRS service.
i have all the settings correct, but it still won't work.
UPDATE:
this is exactly what's happening. I have checked, double checked, and triple checked all the settings. I have been to SE and downloaded the relevant settings to try them, i have tried the manual wap GPRS settings on the o2 page. Nothing is working. WHen i try to log on it just says activation rejected.
when you click on the reception bars, it says;
Network; o2 UK
GPRS; Attached
(logon failed)
EEK!! i don't know how to get it to logon. anyone using o2 with a p800... there must be someone!

Ok this might sound silly but have you got gprs activated? Just a thought....

yeah, it works fine on my t68i which i got it activated on. But it's a sim thing isn't it. not a phone thing. I mean, i can use my p800 fine on orange GPRS.
cheers.
EDIT;
it gets more weird. When i use my t68i with the o2 sim there is no username and password needed when i log on, but on the p800 if i leave the username/password fields blank then i get prompted for them. Strange. I wish there was someone who had done this already and had answers... surely i'm not the first to be using an 02 sim in a p800...
