Sorry for the stupid questions, but I've searched everywhere and cannot find an answer to them.

1) The P800 does not have the typical make and end call buttons. How does one actually answer a call on the P800? What button on the flip/virtual flip keyboard is used - the "ok" button?

2) What have been peoples' experience using the phone in virtual flip mode. Do you find making phone calls more difficult not having a true keypad? Is it easy to dial calls using a finger? I've read the buttons are quite small, requiring many to use the stylus to dial a number.

3) Regarding PIM functions, can tasks/todo items be assigned a category (i.e. office tasks, home tasks, etc.) like they can be under the Palm OS?

All replies appreciated.
Thanks

yes the ok button takes calls but that is just one of the ways to take a call. the most convenient ofcourse is to just press the jog dial to recieve a call and to end it. also at time of call a menu opens with incoming call options.virtual flip, yes it seems a bit inconvenient the 1st day but then is simplicity in itself, no problems dialling with finger presses too as the touchscreen is very senstive. yes u can allocate tasks to categories. buy it man, its the coolest phone ever

I prefer to keep the keypad on & once you get used to the phone find it just as usable as a T68.

Any kind of PIM entry, application or file can be assigned to a folder (like catagories). Only problem at the moment is that the folders do not sync with MS Outlook as catagories which I think is poor when you consider my old Psion Revo could sync task catagories.

Thanks for the responses.

You're correct, it's too bad that the P800 folders don't synch with Outlook's categories.

What happens in the following:
1) you synch your outlook info to the phone
2) you manually place all the phone info into categories/folders
3) you synch again later on

-Does all the old data get messed up in either outlook or the phone, or does it all remain in the appropriate category/folder?
-Or does just any new data just get synched without any category information (i.e. a contact assigned to "family" in Outlook synchs over to the phone as "unfiled" or the equivalent?

thanks

Yes, the P800 sync great with Outlook and it places everything correct - phone numbers organized correctly into mobile, work, home etc. I have synched my phone several times with P800 so far and have not come across any problems.

@amagab

Just had me trying sync with outlook again based on what you said but I have all my contacts, tasks & calendar entries organised into folders on my P800 but they do not show up catagorised within Outlook. All come through with no catagories.
Same the other way, from PC to P800.

Are you saying that your PC catagories/P800 folders also sync correctly or have I read your post wrong.

yes, now I'm confused.
Do item categories/folders synch or not?
I'm presuming not.

So if I synch over some data into my phone from outlook, place that data into folders/categories that corresponds to the way the data is organized in outlook, then synch again, what happens?

Is the phone data still recognized and synched even after assigned a folder? Or is the data not recognized, so the outlook items are once again added to the phone as "unfiled" or with no category?

I'm just getting confused.
Thanks

Not certain but don't think entries are duplicated, its just that catagories/folders are ignored during sync.

No longer use Outlook just the P800 until the sync software improves. Just do backups.
