why isn't it possible to create video files on a p800?

is it couse the symbian 7 or the uiq?

will this be solved in the future through a firmwave upgrade or by a new uiq/symbian version or is this just not possible?

i hope in the future you can create video files on a p800 this would be gr8 especially when you got the msduo 128 mb.
i traded in my n82 for a c702 that is how much i

I think SE did something to the P800 to prevent programers to develop video recording progam. Something about using it to spy on others. Hope they will release the feature in coming software though.

as I understand it, SE did not expose the camera functionality to the developers (at least not yet).

This means that if such a program is created, it will have to be created by SE, or that they would have to divulge how to access the camera to the developers.

I don't see why this would be any different than any digital camera capable of shooting short MPEG films at a lower resolution (320x240, etc.).

I think that is rather pathetic of SE & although u all love them l think that they are crap when it comes to the needs of their customers! l mean they leave out T9, cos THEY don't find it neccesary & video recording & phonecall recording & delivery reports... while it's bloody obvious the majority wants and needs this...

A friend of mine who works for Symbian said that there will be a video application for the P800 sometime soon.

If he (or parents) can afford the P800 then of course he should have one. Its the 15 year olds who have time to play with the thing the most and answer all our problems

@p800fan.
Enjoy your P800 like the rest of us.
