Hello every one.

I had my P800 for like one and a half months now, and I need to add what a great phone it is, but I've been facing two problems:

1) Every body keep saying that my voice is very low, it's like I'm calling from a cave or something, I tried to search for a mic volume, but there was no such a thing, It really bothers me that I can't make a phone call with a phone worth $740 without the other line shouting HELLO... CAN YOU HERE ME.

2) Sometime when I'm making a call the phone does not give any sound until the other line answers; I mean I can't here if the phone is ringing or busy.

Any body facing the same?

1) Had the same problem. Upgrade to R1D, that solves most of it.

2) I've noticed that too, from time to time, don't know any cure for it.

Froddan, it's not about whether people are using a P800 or not... it's the bandwidth they waste. I'm using a P800 and I don't want to be charged for redundant quotes and characters.

Waste of bandwidth, you say?
How about the signatures that so many have here, how about the smilies??? All of those are displayed on opera when you're browsing esato over the web. If those aren't to be considered as a waste of bandwidth, then I don't know what is.

try pressing your fingers slightly firmer against the battery cover of the P800, it seems to solve the other party can't hear my voice problem. And after a few tries, if you listen carefully (yes, on your P800), even you will notice the difference when the other party can or cannot hear you. I really dunno how to explain this clearer, but do try it yourself, it works for me

make sure your fingers are not too close to the mic hole on the bottom of the unit. It seems obvious, but you might be holding the phone in a way that blocks the microphone.

If you're not, then your mic must be having a problem and you need to replace the phone.
