I have questions: do they feel any faster than S8+? Does the slow mode work well ? Do photos in low light look better than on S8+?

Feels a little faster and more fluid, keep in mind these devices had minimal data stored on them. Obviously it has a faster CPU and it is running Oreo. (note, Im yet to try Orea on s8+)
Slow mode? 960fps? If so, a little bit fiddly to get working but once you have used it a few times it's simple to use. As you'd expect, best results come with good lighting.
There is an improvement in low light photos. Should see more sample coming out in the next few days I guess.

Any specific mention or updates to Samsung's Dex other than a new dock and using the screen as a touchpad?
Anyone with Any details of installing your own choice Linux Desktop Distro to be used within Samsung Dex?! I'm REALLY looking forward for more details of this.

They do share a few similarities, really comes down to your personal use.
Have a play with one when its available to demo and compare them.

You'd probably need to go to XDA Forums for all that.
Honestly the best place to find deeper details like that.
