This is why I went with a 18:9 screen, the 16:9 option would create a very very thing size bezel and this might be a problem for side controls like volume and camera button. Regardless, 18:9 is probably the way to go but not sure there is a 18:9 4k screen on the market, maybe this is Sony's own 4k 18:9 oled? or they will go with the XZP screen leading to a massive top and bottom bezel. |

Sony will stick to 16:9 ratio..
Based on that it look like top and bottom bezel will look noticibily bigger than competition..
But if the top and bottom are curved like what @XJ said before then 152 mm means the tallest point of the phone..Therefore actual bezel will look small..
So almost no side bezel, top and bottom curved with 81℅ stb ratio will look stunning ..
It will be a different take of bezelless phone..
Less bezels yet 16:9 ratio and doesn't look alike..!!😁😁😁

Ascariss, Sony's size very different than LG G6 and different format...... Sony's smartphone will have much more narrow frames than your render |

Those info by ascariss combined with XJ's info, resulting this:

Are we talking about the 4K phone right?
What about the FHD version? |

So if it's 7.1mm thick
Its as thick as a Xperia T3 at 7mm
https://m.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_t3-6408.php
Or Xperia z3+ at 6.9mm
https://m.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z3+-6878.php
And just for comparison
Z ultra at 6.5mm
https://m.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z_ultra-5540.php
So in viewing the above the t3 and z3 thinner then the new 7.1mm thick Xperia of 2018 will have no issue with volume rocker or camera button on the side
Where the ultra at 6.5mm doesnt have a camera button (marketed as a multimedia device) but still has volume rockers
Time for a new phone, z5 premium and z3 have done me well.

Bezels of Z phones are about 1.6cm.
Seems like new phone has 1.3cm.
Trimming 3mm from top and bottom , it is like if Z3 , Z4 and Z5 were 14cm tall.

SIM card/microSD card tray moved to the top-left.
https://sumahoinfo.com/2018-n[....]sim-tray-location-moved-to-top
This implies headphone jack is either removed or move to somewhere else |

As long as we dont need a tool to access sim cards...
Sony is probably the only that does not use the tool.
Something annoying the others copied from Apple.
And the jack could be on the other side.
Now that camera is no longer there.

So made some renders, sorry about the watermark, but I hate having my stuff stolen. One version with no side buttons, while the other with volume rocker and camera button.
