I would have thought that S8 plus can match the 7 edge in battery life ?
From what I've read at XDA and some other forums the S8+ has great battery life but it's not hitting the sort of SOT the S7 Edge managed early last year. This could be due to Android 7.0 being a little more resource intense.

Looking at the Gsmarena scores S8 plus gets better scores at both video playing and internet browsing and only loses at 3G calls by like 3 hours . So I tend to prefer S8 plus battery life over s7 edge ( who calls on 3G nowadays anyway 😜) |

Yeah, that Samsung Infinity Display seems to be a lot more frugal despite being larger with higher resolution.

Continues to be a battery life beast 7months in, loving it
I do wonder what sorting result I'd get if I set it to Power Save and Display to 1080P, but using the display in 2K in every part of the UI is just so much better

Got the Gear S3 and must say its awesome. Only limitation is the lack of Google Apps compatibility. My S7 doesn't seem to be utilizing any extra battery even though its connected to the Watch all day. Never knew BTLE was this efficient.

haha true. I dint expect it to get it at all so this is great news. If S7 gets Android O and Bixby, I can easily push this phone until the Note 9 comes out

I think that even if it will get Bixby it won't be the same as on S8, Note 8 etc Probably more like Bixby news (similar to Bite EF ). Anyway S7 edge is a great phone so to me no need to change it for a while unless you are a phone enthusiast and like to try new phones |

Not suprising that the S7 Edge is getting Oreo, each flagship gets 2 major updates at the very least with Samsung and then continued Security Updates.
It looks I'll be leaving my awesome S7 Edge for the Note8 beast that 6.3inch Infinity Display plus 6GB RAM AND SPen with SPen Suite is just too good.
On a daily basis I miss the SPen of my Note4 when using my S7 Edge. S7E is fantastic, but I really do prefer the Note.
