Like I said, Sony, Qualcomm and NTT DoComo already did the job of proving that the Z3+ has issues. :)

You may go ahead and flood this thread with links that you have cherry picked all you want, but the Manufacturer, the SoC manufacturer and a carrier all say the opposite and they have a huge interest in the success of the Z3+.

Would that be Sony, NTT DoComo and Qualcomm propaganda then???

I'm sure you'll be saying 'fack' every review site and reviewer when they post things you don't like about your favourite phone maker.

Sorry mate to destroy your party.
First of all we talk Z3+ here, not Z4.
I don't care about japanese market, it's a different phone.

Secondly I contacted Sony myself here, in Poland where Z3+ is sold, and yes,
they were aware of the issues and reacted. That's the official statement and there are no warnings outside Japan.
So actually, I would stop this story telling here. What is your problem? Hurt?

BTW I just read users reviews of the issue on xda and yes, from what I see is usual smartphone issues with super
processors without any cooling. Basically like on any other phone.

They are the same phone especially WRT what is causing the issues, the SoC.
Why would I be hurt? I don't own a Z3+

So then it is confirmed, what you found was it is heating up, you're just trying to sugar-coat it.

Case closed.

This has been posted here several times already... so I'd like to point out a few things, if I may:

For most of 2015, there’s been a persistent rumor that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 had a serious overheating problem. This has been explored on a variety of sites (and we’ve covered the results here on ExtremeTech),

So that site itself admits that the 810 has a heating problem... in fact, they provided this link:
http://www.extremetech.com/co[....]pdragon-810-has-a-heat-problem

but in recent weeks there’s been a fresh spate of rumors around Qualcomm’s chip. Videos surfaced showing a Sony Xperia Z3+ overheating within seconds of taking photos. Supposedly DoCoMo is distributing warnings to buyers of certain smartphones that the Snapdragon 810 overheats easily. Finally, a recent blog post by OnePlusTwo has spread rumors of two Snapdragon 810 chips — a 2.0 version, which has overheating issues, and a 2.1 version, which supposedly doesn’t.

From that paragraph above... it said that:
"a recent blog post by OnePlusTwo has spread rumors of two Snapdragon 810 chips — a 2.0 version, which has overheating issues, and a 2.1 version, which supposedly doesn’t."

So its a rumor and NOT a fact. And it came from a Blog not connected to either Sony or Qualcomm. (Or is there evidence that this blog is owned by Sony or Qualcomm?)

Also, did Sony or Qualcomm actually back up this post? Is any one of them admitting that there's actually 2 versions? Is there a public statement by them regarding this? Is Sony issuing a recall? Or is qualcomm saying that they have replaced the supposedly "old" 2.0 chips with the "new" 2.1 chips?

Because aside from that article by Extremetech, which itself admits that there's a heating problem... there's no other article out there that says the same. That there is indeed a 2.1 version of the 810.

Two rumors we want to hit directly are the video showing a Sony Xperia Z3+ shutting down in seconds after photos are snapped (supposedly due to overheating) and the purported claims that DoCoMo is distributing. Qualcomm, in a statement that covers both issues, has stated: “The Snapdragon 810 processor is performing as expected and we have not observed any abnormal thermal issues. DoCoMo is investigating the specifics of this situation, as they did not sanction this signage.” Indeed, the Xperia Z3+ device in question is pre-production, and therefore early hardware.

I also dont believe that article saying that the z3+ in the video are pre-production... because if you've been following the net, even the MOST RECENT reviews all say the same thing. Do they mean to say that all the latest reviews coming out of the z3+/z4 are all of pre-production phones? That is just ridiculous.

Earlier this month, a blog post from the smartphone manufacturer OnePlus highlighted that the company had worked with Qualcomm to use a later version of the Snapdragon 810, codenamed 2.1.

So it is OnePlus (OPPO) that was working with Qualcomm... it is NOT SONY.

So reading this article over and over again... there's no evidence whatsoever to explain that the sony Z3+ has stopped overheating or that the chip inside have been replaced.

It just says that there are rumors saying that there MIGHT be 2 versions of the chip... and that Oneplus might be using the latest one, not Sony.

Ok we get it. The z3+ has some heat issues, as do other S810 phones. It's a problem with the chip, it's not going away.

And it's no longer news, it's been discussed already, a lot. And more than enough!

Move it on people, seriously. Sounding like a broken record in here.
