^ they are a genuine website selling monthly contracts, what Is find interesting is they expect it to be released in March also the fact they're actively promoting a phone that doesn't officially exist yet.

If Sony are to release a new version of the Z Ultra, MWC would actually be a very good venue for it one of them being it's 6 months before Samsung are expected to announce the Note 5 in September at IFA. Phablet sales are growing all the time and Sony did release the T2 Ultra last year so who knows if the 'Ultra' brand will continue into 2015. Good thing is we're only about 5 weeks till MWC so more info will become available the closer we get.

OIS is the way to go and it seems more and more firms using it in their smartphones. Will be a poor judgement call for Sony to not use OIS in the Z4. I can see it now, Sony announces the new Z4 with super steady shot but not OIS. |

Totally. there is a big gap between our wishes for z4 ultra and reliable info.
ois should at least improve night stills.
Btw, anyone noticed samsung is going in sony's footsteps in design materials? s6 is going to have metal frame and back glass according to the latest rumor. sony better outdo themselves with z4 in a bigger way. |

I have been changing phones every 3 months before my z ultra. Now I am holding onto it for 1.5 years  . I need to upgrade it but if sony does not release the successor I might abandon the ship. That's why I am so excited about MWC. Hope the websites are correct. Logically they should release a phablet but Sony seems to stumble these days. |

Finally, Z3/Z3C locked bootloader can now root, I know this might seems off topic, but it's on topic...
The way Sony is handling DRM, bootloader is very bad, Those with unlockable bootloader will stay on dark without root... specially those on contracts...
unlocking the bootloader will delete DRM keys forcing the technologies of Sony to be almost not usable, the phone will be just like any other brand phone with no Sony specific tech.
HTC is different here, you will loose DRM keys, but no feature will be missed, and all phones can be unlocked AFAIK even the SIM locked ones, thought unlocking the bootloader won't remove the SIM lock...
I'm still considering to get back to Sony or go for HTC because of this, I want Sony but I also want to root, and want to save a backup of the TA partition... but seeing a case like Z3 taking months to find an exploit to root on locked is hard for me... and even with that exploit some users reporting that this method works some times, some could not root their phone...

It is very frustrating for us not having any leaked images, specs or camera samples. Sony are getting very good at this with the exception of the E4. We haven't even had any leaks of how Lollipop will look on the Z3 yet. However I do expect some leaks to come soon as by now the phones/tablets will be under network testing meaning they could be out in the wild rather than in a locked down room with ninja's and snipers guarding the door just in case someone decides to leak anything. It all make MWC that bit more interesting for us as by now we've known pretty much all there is about the next flagship before it's official announcement (remember the Z and Z1 leaks) on the other hand HTC might as well go ahead and release the M9 as it's had more leaks than a dodgy plumber's bathroom.

Personally I would not want to have a leak and would rather wait until the official information comes out at the press conference. I want to be surprised by Sony bringing something new to the table (doubtful). While I fear the Z4 will be nothing but a slightly upgraded Z3, I am hoping for something for something more from Sony. Probably expecting way too much from Sony, but no new compacts cameras have been announced since who knows when (not counting the selfie cam they released in Asia), so perhaps more emphasis will be put on the imaging side of things even more this time around. |

Wow Sony kept Z4 under the wraps quite well. Even the lollipop update - usually we will see leaks before release, this time, not even a hint.
My guess E4 leaked because it's an ODM device, so leak controls are less tight.
Though I would expect the Z4 to be more curvy especially at the corners. |
