Z5 premium better justify its name and have a premium memory, that is 4gb of ram or else it will be a disappointment because there are even mid rangers with 4gb and all its rivals have 4gb like note 5, galaxy s6 edge+ and its a future proof spec. 4k display won't be enough to differentiate itself from z5.

i hope it's just a test unit or wrong spec by the app , there is no devices with sd810 and 2 gb ram.it will be pretty stupid move.

i think they didnt give z5p's tests because of 4k screen resolution , probably apps wont working on native res , they dont want to make confusion before launch i guess.

z5 compact onscreen results murders everything on GFXbench database, amazing. GS6 scores 4.6fps onscreen with QHD resolution, while z5c manages to put 37.5 fps, incredible.

i am happy they opted for 720p resolution since i care more about performance and battery, than screen sharpness.
i hope this helps a little with s810 heating too.

Thanks moogoo

I want to open another contract with another network, with the Note5 being a heap of crap vs. its predecessor, IMO, I figure my time with Samsung is over, will keep my Note 4 as I see it as being better than everything launched so far in 2015, but I do want something new.

I hope this Z5 Premium is real; 4GB RAM, 4K Display and at least 32GB Internal Mem, sounds sweet to me and worth the new contract. Fingers crossed.

Indeed. I think 4GB ram and 32GB internal is the minimum required for them to put a "premium" moniker on the z5. 4K would definitely help them get recognized and noticed in the industry even though there are those out there saying "oh you don't need 4K". well, you don't need a lot of things, but they're still there and they are what gets you media attention and sells devices.

I hope sony doesn't disappoint. Premium should be premium! I remember my Vaio premium laptop. it had a crazy thing screen and the entire case was made of carbon fiber, making it very light and very strong. It definitely felt premium and looked premium. Sony needs to do that to its mobile devices and they should not mess it up this first try or no one will give them a 2nd look next time.

Spot on.

There is nothing better than getting a top gadget and despite paying the crazy amount, the moment its in your hand it feels premium and packs all that it should at the price.

Its that feeling of having something truly cutting edge at the time.

That feeling seems to be disappearing these days, thats what really sucks. I hope one of the Android OEMs does that at IFA, and it seems Sony maybe it.

More - a flagship, with a flagship price has 2GB of RAM and 720p display. In late 2015. No comment.

not much hope for Z5+ w/ 4 GB ram, which it should be. Displaying at 4K even if its video and photos only still require much more memory for frame buffer.

Hmm are the backs of the z5 and z5c plastic or metal now. Unlike the plus model, they seem almost matte in comparison. hmm

maybe just unfinished/unpainted products, or could be another color just distorted in the low quality image
