A 4k resolution display is so not necessary to have.
If Sony really have a 4k resolution display, then it's just mental.
I can see this being heavily promoted in Champions League.

it may not be necessary but at that screen size, there is no real benefit to anything more than 1080p unless you're doing VR. there is no real necessity for amazing speakers that rival full size bluetooth ones, but people want it. first and foremost, sony needs to attract attention its devices and by being the FIRST to do 4K.. it will definitely do that.
now, let's just hope sony's actual screens are high quality. especially with a premium moniker, they better be top notch so that there are no color saturation/accuracy and viewing angle complaints whatsoever.

The question is, is this an actual leak or it's a real interview?! |

I noticed something. They say that Z5 Premium is going to have 4K display with 801-805 ppi. It means 5,75" display, not 5,5" as other rumors say. |

Interesting... new Sony crowdfunding for a Smartwatch design where the electronics go into the wristband, and the rest of the watch is a standard, analog device
http://blogs.wsj.com/japanrea[....]s-the-smarts-in-the-wristband/
I've been wondering when Sony would put the electronics in the wristband, and the fact that this is a crowdfunding product either tells us they're not doing this for the next smartwatch, or that they are, but it'll be like a normal smartwatch and not an analog one.
Hope we find out in a couple days! |

A 'normal' watch with a smart attachment in the wristband. That's something I might buy. But I'm picky over my watch makers (like I am with my phone makers). If it isn't a strap replacement for standard watches OR if it isn't a collaboration with Seiko (preferably one of their Spring Drive series), I may opt-out.

It's actually 5.47" to 5.5"... your calculation was based on a real 4K res. which is 4096x2160... but most 4K screens are actually QFHD (as these are Quad FullHD, 4x 1080), which is 3840x2160
These are 2160x3840 calculations for 5.47" & 5.5" which translates to 805.45 ppi & 801.06 ppi
Horizontal resolution: 2160 pixels
Vertical resolution: 3840 pixels
Diagonal: 5.47 inches (13.89cm)
Display size: 2.68" × 4.77" = 12.79in² (6.81cm × 12.11cm = 82.48cm²) at 805.45 PPI, 0.0315mm dot pitch, 648751 PPI²
Horizontal resolution: 2160 pixels
Vertical resolution: 3840 pixels
Diagonal: 5.5 inches (13.97cm)
Display size: 2.7" × 4.79" = 12.93in² (6.85cm × 12.18cm = 83.39cm²) at 801.06 PPI, 0.0317mm dot pitch, 641693 PPI²
These are 2160x4096 calculations for 5.75" & 5.78" which translates to 805.33 ppi & 801.15 ppi
Horizontal resolution: 2160 pixels
Vertical resolution: 4096 pixels
Diagonal: 5.75 inches (14.61cm)
Display size: 2.68" × 5.09" = 13.64in² (6.81cm × 12.92cm = 88.01cm²) at 805.33 PPI, 0.0315mm dot pitch, 648554 PPI²
Horizontal resolution: 2160 pixels
Vertical resolution: 4096 pixels
Diagonal: 5.78 inches (14.68cm)
Display size: 2.7" × 5.11" = 13.78in² (6.85cm × 12.99cm = 88.93cm²) at 801.15 PPI, 0.0317mm dot pitch, 641839 PPI²

is it 0,3 or 0,03 seconds af , 0,3 seconds isnt market fastest ,even m5 has 0,2 seconds af , what he said ? 30 or 300 milliseconds(30 means 0,03 seconds) , lots of people at xperiablog trans it as 0,03 seconds , since it's supposed to be below 0,1 seconds and market fastest af i guess it's 0,03 seconds.
0,03 seconds or 30 milliseconds af are pretty incredible stat.
lg g3's laser af is 276 ms.
m5's af is 250 ms.
sony's alpha 6000 dslr (supposed to have fastest af with 4d tech) has 60 ms.

in 2:15, The gold one is definitely have microUSB port below...
But in 2:22 the black one seems different.. it's more round than any corner of a microUSB port... is it Type-C ? or I'm just confused...

Z5 Premium sure sounds like a beast
Probably the most impressive Xperia device EVER
Personally, I would have wished Sony went with 4.6/5.5/6.4" sizes instead of 4.6/5.2/5.5". The Ultra has unfortunately been moved to the 2016 lineup with a similar display size as the original Z Ultra.
