I think what he meant is that he thinks a 4K screen with 1080p render is more likely from a technical point view... as if you have 1080p source and you want it on a 4K screen then you can make each pixel from the source as 2x2 pixels (4 pixels) in the 4K... as a 4K (3840 × 2160) is exactly 4x 1080p res.
but a QHD source which is not 2K source but 2.5K will be awkward to display on 4K as each pixel in the source will be rendered in 1.5 x 1.5 pixels in 4k display...

Although 4k on such a small device is crazy and pointless it would be good for Sony to be FIRST with it, so it can make some noise and hype about Sony mobile. Ofcourse if 4k screens are possible at this moment.
Why should they let Samsung or chinese brands to lead with specs? If they want to be more popular they have to be first with new technologies, even if they are pointless, like 4k res. People like to have and buy something that they can brag around as being best and first. |

The OmniBalance styling seems to be having less and less detail. Could it be evolving towards a completely seamless design?

I hope there's something in there that'll blow me away. I do like the sound of the Z5 Premium. If that's what it ends up being called, even if it is just Z5 with a bit more in the pants.. erm screen.

If they somehow fixed the 810, I think that this device could mark my return to Sony.
