I think he is assuming it because it looks a lot thicker than the other colors.

can't be stating assumptions without saying so here it is a rumors thread!

i think the gold color is gorgeous.. it might tempt me away from the all white when i eventually upgrade..

litoni, solid pictures man SOLID!!

Anyone else notice that there are 2, yes 2 ports on the bottom?!
None of them looks like a headset jack so this leads me to think of only 1 possibility:
MicroUSB2 port with USB-On-The-Go + USB-C port ... allowing both cables to be available while only 1 will ship. So that when you travel across the globe you CAN charge your phone and transfer data and load the OS, just in case you forgot your adapter. USB-C is VERY new still.

The second "port" at the bottom is the lanyard slot.

It is obvious from the proportions!
Check out previous leak and will come clearer to you:

it looks z5 to me still , no space between edges and corners for z5 compact unlike the pic shows.

I'd say do too. It's not a super slim phone, obviously.

Curious how much emphasis Sony will put on the 4k video and new sensor and how it's related or based off the tech in the new Sony A7RII. Also hopefully they will add ability to chose shutter speed and higher ISO settings in manual mode.

Also I noticed that the engraved xperia logo on the left lower side, will also help the grip of the phone (right thump) while talking one handed photos (selfies included) using the dedicated camera button, therefore the reason why also that button has shifted a little upwards and the volume rocker downwards so that can be reached with the index finger. If this is the case, then it is very well thought.

To my trained eyes the picture with the engraved xperia logo is z5 because it matches the frame line cut. the one in the compact is closer to the frame edge and the frame is thicker. See for yourself in vizileaks side photo.

No offence, but you need more training!
The proportions of the photos points to a thicker phone such as Z compacts. No way this is a 7mm Z seriers.
