OK, lets discuss this. If Sony really caped SD810's cpu power then why the f**k their battery life also take a hit in gsmarena's battery life test? Shouldn't less powerfull and less overheating processor also contribute in much better battery life? Same thing happens to M9, before the "update" it has pitiful battery life but after the update their battery life has gotten batter, Anandtech said this. Read their review on M9. Gsmarena benchmarking doesn't make any sense at all. I wish anandtech review Z3+ and showed how much better battery life it has over its competitions. and Gsmarena can't even determine at what brightnesss they do their battery test. What a joke of a tech site. I'll wait for notebookcheck.net or anandtech's review before calling Z3+ a failure.
First of all, Z3+ battery is 2930 mAh and Z3 is 3100 mAh. That is quite a difference. Then goes the totally different chipset. Just because it might be tuned down, doesn't mean it has a lower battery consumption.
And then goes the Sony site claiming that Z3 is capable of 130h music play while Z3+ only 91h. I guess Sony is "becoming more shameless with each passing day. A total paid blog site by Samesung. Shameless losers."
Fack Sony, they know shit about Z3+ super battery

So what you're saying is that Qualcomm were incompetent in designing their SoC.
Sony throttled performance because it doesn't really have any meaningful impact aside from dick waving, in order to prevent overheating. |

Why the flapping hell are we still discussing the z3+ in this thread?
What's the point of having a dedicated z3+ thread if you aren't going to use it.

people pull-in released devices to bash Sony in rumour thread, so funny
how do we keep this thread to unreleased rumour devices? |

Considering the recent news, leaks and sony tradition, we should expect more substantial leaked info about a month before expected september 4-5th sony flag ifa announcement event, s820 inside, and november world launch. those mediatek devices are not despite the confusing high end spec...

Highlight doubt it has the 820.
At this point in time it can go either way, 810 or 820. It all depends on the timeline and when the device is to launch. Undoubtedly Sony would probably prefer the 820, seeing as the 810 is not living up to its specs. Until benchmarks hit we are in the dark for now. |

Guys, Apparently the overheating waring issued by DoCoMo was faked. DoCoMo did not sanction the signage that was showed in various reputed "Tech" blog. Most likely Samesung's paid shill create a fake waring card and took a image and give it to Samsung's PR department. Samsung's PR department took this and make their paid blog spread the news. Only samesung can pull this kind of dirty trick. Read the full article.

Other handsets, like the M9, were also overheating as well, .... but HTC did fix it before they released it to the public.
see here:
http://www.androidauthority.com/htc-one-m9-overheating-594799/
here's some articles about the fix:
http://wccftech.com/htc-one-m9-overheating-issue-solved/
http://phandroid.com/2015/03/19/htc-one-m9-overheating-fixed/
http://bgr.com/2015/03/19/htc-one-m9-overheating/
http://www.ibtimes.com.au/htc[....]mal-image-comparison-flagships
So maybe Sony can can make this same kind of fix and then push it out to the public asap? If HTC can do it, and do it quickly, Im sure Sony can too.
So I think its not just with DoCoMo... or whether that warning was faked or not. The problem lies with the processor itself. Even the very latest reviews (of the z3+) - all of them mentioning the overheating issue, during their testing.

Wow, someone is hell bent on downing Samsung phones... even to bring up past articles.
Anyway, if we look at them closely...
regarding the first link:
The title says: "Tech Companies Are Paying CNET To Repost Positive Reviews." Does the phrase "Tech Companies" refer to Samsung only? The case that was made as an example was of the S4, true, but its NOT only Samsung paying to repost reviews.
regarding the 2rd link:
It is true that they were fined. But let's hear some words from the author:
Both individually and collectively, these types of covert marketing are known in the industry as "astroturfing." While Samsung is by no means the first company to engage in astroturfing, it's been caught in the act twice this year alone. In relation to a later case, Samsung told The Verge that it remains "committed to engaging in transparent and honest communications with consumers."
Again, that means that they are not the only one doing it.
regarding the 3rd link:
The title says: "They're (Almost) All Dirty: The State of Cheating in Android Benchmarks." Again, does that title refer to Samsung only. Then the articles mentions Asus, HTC, Samsung, LG.
Again, here's some words from the author himself:
As we mentioned back in July, all of this is wrong and really isn't worth the minimal effort the OEMs put into even playing these games. If I ran the software group at any of these companies running the cost/benefit analysis on chasing these optimizations vs. negativity in the press it’d be an easy decision (not to mention the whole morality argument). It's also worth pointing out that nearly almost all Android OEMs are complicit in creating this mess. We singled out Samsung for the initial investigation as they were doing something unique on the GPU front that didn't apply to everyone else, but the CPU story (as we mentioned back in July) is a widespread problem.
Does that mean that Samsung is the ONLY ONE doing it? I think not.

Hey difenbaker
Oh well... Certainly Samsung is involved in all incidents, that's the fact and reflects on their tactics.
S820, let's hope Sony will use in upcoming H2 flagship =)

Why is it like that... when the facts are presented, he turns personal?

Very true! And I agree with that 100%!
Anyway, all of that which I posted above, are DIRECTLY from the 3 articles that was posted, I did not make any of those up.
Samsung certainly is no saint... they are about as dirty as any of them. All Im trying to say is that... they are not the only ones doing those things.
cheers!
