It would actually be cool if he uses xperia device especially if it has a new design but i'm certainly not making decision of which phone to by based on that.

^Thanks for reminding me about the date
I'm not talking about us, choosing a phone base on a movie.
But this movie will be a good chance for them to attract more customers. Celebrities can be good opinion leader that can affect the purchasing decision of the customers. Not to mention the free media coverage when Craig visiting events and holding his latest Bond phone.

Sony Pictures blockbuster does not necessarily mean Sony Mobile handset. Although Bond and everyone else in the movie has a tradition of using Sony.

unless Bond boots up XPERIA phone that shows SONY and XPERIA texts during the movie, I wonder how many people will know it's XPERIA

810 performance and throttling at arstechnica.com

To think, some people in this thread wanted to blame the overheating rumors on another Manufacturer, a manufacturer who has made a far more superior chip even according to this link and many...many other articles, and recently I've read around here people trying to convince themselves that Sony will some how get a vastly improved 810 chip, lol.

This CPU has proven to be pretty damn awful, the results above are simply shocking, they rate someone can face slowdowns with simple tasks due to the heavy throttling the 810 does, the mess Qualcomm are in reminds me of the horrendous phones we got once the iPhone became a success, everyone wanted to get a touch flagship out without taking time to create something good. Qualcomm should have focussed effort on their new architecture and tried to squeeze more out the 805 or make the 808 the temporary flagship as mistakes made in the 810 could cause major damage to their reputation, as they now have a new product that performs worse than older products.

It's a difficult one, lam now wondering how the 808 is, seems it may just be the best combo with fewer big cores (if I'm not mistaken it's a hexa core?), LG G4 nearly here...

yeah, a minor speed bum version of s800 with new GPU may be a better idea at this point. Its not like the s800 already feel slow. As long as they keep the res lower than 2k, maybe it 64bit and ability to utilize full 4 gig ram can help make it more future proof. If they can add full H 265 encode and decoding support that would be even better.

use mediatek flagship chip instead. Cheap and powerful. Get rid of the mindset that mediatek is only for cheap low quality phones.

Mediateks are slow, they're goot in Antutu thanks to the number of cores, not speed. Plus they're using rubbish GPUs.

SD808 has slower GPU than SD805, not to mention SD810.

So I hope they'll skip SD810 in their next flagship. That means no IFA flagship but international Z4 in May and Z5 with SD820 closer to the end of this year.

Such a pity about the 808's GPU, they should have paired it with the Adreno430, left it a Hexa Core CPU and dumped the 810.

I do. In the first link they never said what processors were they comparing (Adreno 203 suggests SD200 which is basically the worse Snapdragon on the market, basically out of use right now). In the second link they're still comparing benchmarks where Mediateks are good because of the number of cores and they say nothing about GPU. Over 1 year old Adreno 330 is still better GPU than any Mediatek, ever.
