I hope they're going to fix it because quality is terrible, details are practically non existent.

truth be told, it seems like a very simple photo to measure quality but these types of landscapes are actually and very good test for a camera because of all the fine level of detail in the grass and trees.

at 100% it looks like an oil painting. Curious to see what another phone camera or a good P&S like an RX100 could do with the same scene.

In any case, it's not terrible and for most things, I'm sure it's a great camera. I very much enjoy the photos that my Z1 produces and Z4 is probably improved on that.

everyone seems to expect slr quality out of a phone camera these days.. wonder why.

same.. image processing. Still too much sharpening. Remember the case of Xperia Z's burst mode looking better than the auto mode Why can't they understand that majority do not want overly sharp photos.

OMG!, what should I buy. when I have my graduation, I'll buy a new phone, but I'm so confused in making decision if I'm waiting for Z5 or just buy Z4 as soon as its launch.. Based on leaked pictures, It (looks like) the very same device as Z3, and even Z2, I'm afraid that my life will be miserable if I buy Z4 now hahaha, because I think that Z5 will be a huge improvements since the original Z, but I want a new phone so bad, because my old Xperia L is already a sh*t because it has a charging issue. I'm still afraid for the camera processing, bend issue like some of Z to Z3 users out there, but I love Xperia so much that I can't switch to other brands-_- haha

First, XperiaJunkie... Thank you for sharing this photo.

It really was something great for us Esato.

Second, Sony has not learn from your mistakes !

Apart from anything not innovate in design, cpu, gpu, battery, the new Z4, is unacceptable to see you guys again equate it with exactly the same hardware photographic last year, that is, the same type of lens (exactly the same focal length and opening), the same image sensor (IMX220), the same single flash and the inexplicable absence of an optical stabilizer image (OIS).

In practice, this camera has the same Z3 camera problems, ie lenses with remarkable softness in the corners, with only sharp image in the center and the pathetic image processing algorithm, such as in Chinese ZTE, Meizu, Xiaomi and etc.

I honestly expected more from Z4, Especially in the imaging department, with a new set of lenses with longer aperture (f/1., the integration of an optical image stabilizer and Especially the adoption of a new image sensor, the highly anticipated (SONY Exmor RS IMX230).

In summary, this Z4 is simply more of the same and does not offer any reason for the owners of the Z3, exchange machine !!!

^Agree. There is nothing really to look forward to Z4. It is very ugly compared to the previous generation. For sure, it will be huge flop!!

Exactly. It's just Z3 with new SoC. Which turns out to be not so great. In real world speed test SD810 fails miserably compared to SD801:

Same rubbish camera (for a flagship), same rubbish display calibration, more plain/cheaper looks. I'm fairly disappointed. I wish Z3 had SD805 (it should have, Note 4 debuted at IFA as well with SD805), I would have bought Z3 Compact long time ago.

Why so much negativity? I've done an extensive comparison of the Z3 vs. the S6 today for real-life situations (my cousin were showing off their new phones) and yes the S6 is better but not by much. Nobody went near any benchmark tests and if I'm totally honest, stuff loaded up the S6 less than half a second faster than Z3 with kitkat. S6 has better screen and camera otherwise most things were incredibly similar. Browser speed was near identical, game performance near identical.

SD810 in the Z4 will be an improvement on the Z3. Lollipop will be a further improvement. Z4 will be great. So many people w@nk over benchmark scores and apps loading 0.1 second faster, 0.1 seconds is a big deal for Lewis Hamilton on the track but not for anyone else. I couldn't see and screen resolution difference but I saw the S6 battery drain like a mofo. Not saying the S6 is crap, its brilliant with that display and I doubt the camera can be matched by anybody at all. I'm simply saying that the gap is tiny and with better camera software, the Z4 will be as good as the S6 if not better.

I thought a lot of hands on or early review even said Note 4 camera is better than S6 anyway. So how come I don't see people say S6 is OMG piece of shit garbage and flop. Its battery life isn't spectacular either, it has much more draw back compare to previous Samsung flagship while M9 and Z4 will probably improve everything from their previous flagship. Same with those people still calling out Z4 bezels as being too thick, where it suppose to have higher screen to bezel ratio than s6. Silly brainwashed drones.

Have you watched the yt clip from my previous post? SD810 is just benchmark speed. It's slower in real life than 801 and decreases battery performance.

S6 is marginally faster but it is, game performance is similar now but in a few years (you're not buying a phone for a few months), newer and heavier games will run smoother with the more powerful SoC. S6 also has much better display camera in basically every category. It also looks fresh and premium while alleged Z4 with those plain shiny frames is just dull.

Design is subjective.
As for display and camera.....we don't even know how they will perform, so lets not get ahead of ourselves.
If you're really so enamoured with the S6, buy one!

As for imaging sensor hardware. Sony can't put a new sensor in, if it isn't ready for mass production. This is simple stuff.
They can't magically put a new sensor in. That's not how this works.
