rather have them ditching the S820 and go with Tegra X1 if Qualcomm can't keep it cool. But I heard Nexus 9 is also a heat pad with Tegra K1 so not sure what else they can do.

Sounds like MediaTek it is. it's being doing pretty well these days and does a better job than AMD against Intel to keeps Qualcomm scared and busy

their performance are decent but doesnt look like they are quite competitive with the other in high end department, and I heard getting customs roms isn't easy with mediatek. That may turn a lot of people off.

Another info regarding z4 and z5 (elaborating on miku' and xperiablog sources info and translated from hebrew to english by myself just for you guys):
sony will launch improved version of z3, most likely called z3 plus, launched in the coming months (maybe called z4 in some countries - perhaps its QHD display variants?) but will not be a big leap from z3 in comparison to what z5 will offer. sony will launch z3plus/z4 because it was in final developing stages before they decided to change their strategy to one flag per year and also because the world mobile carriers asked them for an updated flag (perhaps especially from their home land once like docomo?) that can offer dl speeds of 350-400 mb in 4g.
from sony's side, their biggest and most interesting device is z5 that will arrive in q4, launched in october (most likely announced at ifa), offer big leap in innovation and technological advances (spec) and possibly come in different sizes and versions. z5 may be named under other name and possibly even with other letter then z. sony hopes that the big flag that will be launched in october will bring a change to the company status and will return the users enthusiasm and desire that they had for many years. it is not curtain if the big flag will have entirely new design or another ob evolution but the sources confirmed that it will be water proofed (at least retain the ip68).

btw, this mobile site is well known in israel and their journalists cover mwc (and probably talked to some sony execs behind closed doors i assume). this is info makes total sense and as i wrote elaborating on miku' and xperiablog sources info - no contradicting bullshit here.

the cpu cores are good and competitive, but the graphic department is lacking.

If they announce Z5 in Q4, that is still 2 per year flagships, and when will they release "Z6" then? Again somewhen in September 2016, or at MWC 2016? If it is MWC then it will be 6-7 months old only since they released Z5...

Z3s/Z4 will be the last device in two flagship an year policy.
From Z5 onwards(in sep/oct), it will be only one flag an year. We can safely assume Z6 in Sep 2016!

@AbhiD999 is that flagship schedule based on insider information or just a guess?

Cheers 🍻

That's a big guess. Talking about Z6 without an announcement of Z4 yet.

The Z4 will arrive in Q3 right along side the new James Bond movie tying the 2 together just like the Xperia T a few years back with Skyfall.
I'm so happy 'cause today

If it wasn't clear enough, according to the leak i translated: the "bigger leap" main flag of q4 launch will be the first main flag that sony will sell for a whole year, from then on no more half a year main flag. nothing is 100% confirmed but i would rate the whole leak as xr4 because that site is reliable and the whole leak totally support all the previous leaks from other sources (xperiablog, etc.).

Q3? Are you sure? You mean we won't see it before July/August or even September? Wasn't it rumored to get released sometime Q2 (May?). Man, Q3 is damn close to IFA 2015. If that is indeed the case forget what I said about the absence of QHD and 4GB RAM. If its joining the game really that late then those mentioned specs are a MUST along with OIS..
