I feel this is quite impressive at least for pre production, at 1250 ISO and not much noise, and a lot of detail still, damn.

Disappointing, though it would be better or quite a bit better than the S5. |

It is better than the SGS5, i get the feeling that Samsung paid those site.
It happened when Z2 was the best later the SGS5 suddenly score 1 point higher while photo's i have seen between those phones looks like SGS 5 over sharper itself by software.
Just wait until other people have the unit, and they ignore the low light score to when the SGS5 fails and yet the the same points also the colours is not quite natural from the SGS5 pictures.
It's all over again with those test between Samsung and Sony, first the screen/ useless features and now the camera part is one big corrupt, everywhere where Samsung is coming they are suddenly the best, something is not right

^let's not go to that extent. every site has its bias. let's just accept it. even dxomark's tests are not completely scientific. they still use human eyes to evaluate the photos so their assessment is their assessment. it's good enough that the xperias are doing well in their evaluation.
the xperia z compact is by far the best all-rounder for me. you can't expect a perfect product from anyone. |

Look at this GSMArena test video 2160p.
Sams has very good detail, but look at color under "green" and "yellow"!

Hmm from what I saw in GSMArena test for Z3 Compact, Z3 should have similiar camera performance. Which means it's miles better than Z2, but in DXOMark they say it's equal, what's more they placed Z2 camera performance equal to SGS 5, now I know DXOMark means nothing.
@xenia, wow nice find Same happens in camera pics comparison, something very wrong with SGS color reproduction

GSMArena seem to have lost their minds
Or maybe they just don't like Sony |

Let's just wait for PA's review. They seem to love Sony the most. Oh, how we hated it back in 2012.
