Why do reviews keep moaning that the K Zoom can't take pics as sharp as the S5 when the K Zoom has a sharpness settings in the manual settings to make it sharper?

And when the light become a bit low K Zoom is sharper than the S5

I'm happy with mine.

Thanks genus for these comments and comparison

Here I come, original file for above night shot photo - K zoom vs s4 zoom

K zoom

s4 zoom
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ed4khyadymfg3uv/s4%20zoom.rar

Currently, I found the best way to take a nice low light photo with K zoom is using program mode, ISO800 or 1600.

Thanks again for sharing

Could also share some long exposure shots ?

As for example 1, 4, 8, and 16 seconds at ISO 100 sensitivity

Here you go

ISO100, F3.1

1s

3s

8s

16s (I choose F9.0 due to overbright at F3.1)

The best long exposure photo are ISO100, 3s setting

Some people say the camera on this phone isn't that good but the OIS is very good even at full zoom (GSMArena also said this) image quality at 20x zoom is also useable.

Also it has full manual settings and a sharpness setting along with shutter speed, aperature, color saturation and contrast (almost all phones don't have these options.)

Also those pics above show good image quality with long exposures, the S5, Z2 etc couldn't do that.

Its a good effort, but they could've used a bigger sensor considering the size of the body/module.. Whoever manages to put a 1" sensor in a phone will blow everyone else out of the water.. its very difficult to do, but it will be amazing.

For me the zooming capability of the this phone is the only thing that impresses in terms of imaging.. the rest is nothing spectacular.

Which one do you think has the better image quality? The S5 or the K Zoom?

Remember to take long exposure photo, turn off the OIS, OIS will cause blur on long exposure photo.

The OIS work well at full zoom photography (as long as the condition are with sufficient lighting and shutter speed). When come with indoor photography, you will found that OIS only work well when you no use full optical zoom, but this still can be fix by increasing the ISO to 800 or 1600 or 3200, where you still can take a good photo without blur.

As mention by gsmarena in the corner softness, my photo had only vry slight corner softness which may count as not in focus subject, you may refer my long exposure photo for the corner softness..it is almost unnoticable

If we exclude the zooming, I would go for the S5.. the difference in terms of IQ is too small to justify the size/volume penalty you get with the K.
