I'm looking for the speaker dock too, but I read some prices around the £100 mark for release which is pretty expensive.

You can also connect any speakers to the bluetooth receiver, and to a HiFi set with this cable, thats how it is connected here.

Got one of those bluetooth receivers, use it in the car.

Not the same as an all in one solution for charging and speakers in a neat desktop package. £100 is about double what it's worth though.

Also I don't have speakers set up around the house and my PC speakers only have a single input method.

I may just get the regular dock instead.

Hi Pt020,

what's the model number for the Sony receiver, may I ask?

I will search for it more, but an initial search didn't help!

edit - still could not find it, but sleep time now...

That particular bluetooth device shown is Stereo Bluetooth® Headset SBH20.

It's ok and around £35 in the UK online Sony store.

It can remember pairing to more than device too (essential if youplan on using your phone and tablet at different times without wanting to re-pair the things).

I was going to say an older model might be able to be picked up on the cheap e.g. MW600 but then I did a quick google... not quite what I expected!

Thanks Ricky D!

I have the Sony Smart Wirelesss Headset Pro so guess I can do the same with that!!

I also have the small round speaker BTV-25 in glorious pink from Japan!

Hopefully my Z2 will arrive soon!

Edit... Sony Online offered a Next Working Day deliver service for £8.00... Waste of time.. Refund requested..

These are some videos for the BSC10, the Bluetooth Speaker Charging Dock!
I'm highly interested in this piece of hardware, and some of you are too... we'll see how much it'll costs

Thanks for the links CrownedAkuma. It looks like a decent piece of kit. I believe it houses several speakers; woofers in the back and tweeters in the front panel. Still not available in the UK though...

Can't help but feel Sony may be over-reaching with the £129 RRP. A £99 lead-in price would help shift more units.

The inclusion of NFC is a great one. I picked up a pair of wireless Sony MDR10RBTs and they work well, seamlessly linking to several devices. Bluetooth streaming has come a long way; degradation in audio quality over wireless channels has improved in recent tech. Audiophiles will still notice a difference and insist on cables, but audiophiles tend not to buy Sony anyway. So for the target market - if fitted with quality drivers - the BSC10 should perform decently.

It also depends on the compression and type of codec used, like Apt-X. So even if someone posts their experience, you don't know the quality of music they are streaming.

Hi RickyD!

Yes, but a day late so I got a refund on the postage. I thought I ordered a white Tablet Z2 but a black one arrived.
My fault because I had cancelled and reordered! So got a white case and a black tablet and the magnetic dock for free!

Sold my Xperia Tablet S!

I will pair and use with my new Sony Smart TV from tomorrow!

Thanks PT020! I will use my Sony Smart Headset Pro and also my pink BTV-25 ! The Sony Smart TV will be connected tomorrow! Aerial needs to be installed!

Thanks for the heads up, Ricky D. I shot Sony a letter detailing some of the non-responsive touchscreen issues and pointed them at the XDA forum, so hopefully Sony took notice. It's still a stunning piece of kit. Always attracts attention at work.

Same can be said again for the even newer update 17.1.A.2.69! I am truly happy now.

on a side note, I made a post on XDA about a grief I have with WiFi.
