"There's plenty going on in the camera app of the Sony Xperia Z2, and coupled with Sony's impressive sensor on the rear it's more capable than the Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 in this department."

From Techradar

Battery
"What's the battery life like on the Sony Xperia Z2? One word: impressive.
Is it the clear market leader in terms of battery life? No, but the Xperia Z2 is on par with the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 while also comfortably beating the iPhone 5S
With moderate usage (email, messaging, calls, web browsing, social networking and some camera action) I was easily able to eek out a day and a half of battery life on the Xperia Z2.
If you're slightly more careful the Z2 will go pretty much two full days on a single charge, and that's partly thanks to the Snapdragon 801 processor under the hood which delivers superior power efficiency over the 800 which featured in the Xperia Z1 and LG G2.
Running the TechRadar battery test of a 90 minute video at full brightness (230 lux in the Xperia Z2's case) with various accounts syncing in the background saw a drop on 20% on the Z2.
That's a slightly poorer performance than the Galaxy S5 which lost 16%, but better than the One M8 which saw a 23% drop in the same test.

It's not a disastrous result, but if you have a serious mobile movie or gaming addiction you'll want to keep a charger close by as chances are the Xperia Z2 won't make it to the end of the day."

also camera
"I certainly found that with the flash turned off, the Xperia Z2 did a decent job of garnering as much light as possible in darker situations.
It performs better than both the HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5 in low light conditions, so I can chalk this victory up to the Z2.
While the level of light is good, some of my shots in lower light did come out rather muddy as the focus struggled to settle properly at times.
The camera app opens rapidly on the Xperia Z2, and it's a noticeably faster load time than the Galaxy S5 which can keep you waiting for a few seconds before it's ready to snap."

I didn't know this... seems really useful when calling
"The former reduces background noise in calls, so if you're in a particularly noisy environment the Xperia Z2 will cut out the traffic in the background so the person on the other end of the line can still hear you. During my tests the people I called said they could hear a difference between having the option turned on and off - it wasn't huge, but it was noticeable and it did make me easier to hear."

I find the review too biased. "There's nothing to really get excited about" What the heck! so the heart rate monitor is something to get excited about! I know that there's nothing revolutionary about the Z2 but neither do S5 nor M8. They did not even mention that Z2 has built-in noise cancellation.

I know audio quality in these three phones are great but for audiophiles the built-in noise cancellation is something, just like the heart-rate monitor is something for the old and health conscious.

Tech review is Samsung biased.

Look at theis.

"The Samsung Galaxy S5 is the best flagship the company has produced to date, and independent screen testing firm DisplayMate said it has the best display it has ever tested.

Things are looking good in the Samsung camp, and with a fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor to help it stand out from the crowd it has a group of features to shout about. Something the Xperia Z2 rather lacks"

DisplayMate is also Samsung oriented, they prefer AMoled over LCD and tech review also follow that bullshit claim from them.

What is the most imported of the scree, yes about colors reproduction.

Z2 has more colors variety than SG5 it's already proven.
Z2 has more Natural colors than SG5 it's already proven.
Z2 has more brighter than SG5 it's already proven. (in some case)

Those positive are just ignoring by DisplayMate and every one just follow like blind sheep.
Tech radar also mention over oversatured color from the AMoled and yet follow the DisplayMate like blind sheep, and also a contradiction in their part of the review.

Well done Tech radar so being selective.

Battery issue .

Sony Battery always get full performance within two weeks, they never mention that.
Also, on witch part of color is being tested? black or white screen stay on 90 minute at full brightness?

Sounds stereo.

They also mention that stereo speaker are waterproof? No.

It's not so much different speaker quality for both, those speakers from Z2 and HTC m8 are best on the market both of them, only the Z2 speaker is water/dust proof.

Another biased conclusion from tech radar, so many biased forward Samsung particular .

I found this review way less biased than older TechRadar review... in the conclusion they just wanted to point out the different Aces every flagships have up their sleeves..
They gave the Z2 4,5 stars over 5 and praised it highly!

In Other News...
The Z2 is back avaible in italy, you can pre order it now, the price was lowered by ten euros (689), and they say it will be dispatched in the first week of may... it comes packaged with screen protector, noise cancelling headphones and multimedia cable to transfer data form Apple to Xperia... with 1 euro they gift you with the Bluetooth music receiver BM10 (worth 65 euros)
Sadly I still do not have enough funds to preorder it... must wait

I suppose the key thing is that the review gives the reader enough information to make an informed decision. I have no interest in a heart monitor or fingerprint scanner or duo cameras and therefore I don't consider them to be advantageous over the z2.

guess which one is z2's

from xda

poster's comment:

Xperia Z2's colors are most accurate but somewhat overexposed

Interesting how the Nexus 5 automatically does a fluorescent white balance and does a good job at it

iPhone 5S is pretty decent but doesn't perform as well in low-light

If that third pic is the Z2 that's not a very good pic, the first one is better.

Err, yes totally right. What a waste of space inside the skull of this human who wrote this. F... idiot.

Ridicoulous statement! whata joke by that site...
Otherwise another excellent review

This part was almost funny:
"The Z2 has a real monolithic quality to it. Look at it from the back and you basically have a miniaturised version of the black slab that floats about in 2001: A Space Odyssey."

I'm sure it is clear the top bezel is to fit the larger camera sensor module. I'm sure Sony can stick the sensor lower down and then make an small bump to house the module but that would go against the current design. This is expected to change for the Z3. We'll see.
