€50 is what you'll need to drive to Germany and back. So it's basically the same, except for the Bluetooth headset. Belgium is usually even more cheaper. You might want to check that also.

So I'm finally going to make the switch from Verizon to T-Mobile here in the states (thank god) since T-Mobile announced they would buy out service contracts if you make the switch and buy a phone with them.

What's awesome is that I'll finally be able to get the Z1 (albeit in Z1S form) that I've been lusting after since first following the leaks about it here on the Esato forums. However, the Z1 Compact has really sold me. After years with the Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S3, I'm pretty sick of large screens. I'd like to sell the Z1S and put the money towards a Z1 Compact.

Since I've been locked into Verizon forever, I've never bought an unlocked phone from overseas. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to buy a Z1 Compact from the US? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

From the other hand 4.3 inch is too little for me today.
Z1compact is super tempting I must say
but the switch to the smaller screen may be painful.
It's even smaller than T.
Or am I wrong?

It is not the 50€ it is the idea that they have price policy that discriminate, something I was used to see from Apple ... It is time for us to protest about it and even boycot companies that do that.

As soon as it is available to be bought on Amazon US or eBay for a fair price (read: 500 or so dollars) I will find someone to bring it to me to Brazil. And when I find, I will put my Xperia S to sell already...

The UI needs a refresh, so much of the screen is wasted because of limited widget/icon control. If you could put more on the screen it would make the screen look bigger on the Compact, just look at the Nexus 5. I think the device is very handsome, it could hold it's own next to the iPhone in terms of premium feel. I'm resisting a pre-order because it'll be out around the time of MWC....curious as to what they will announce then.

just preordered my Z1 Compact...went for the white version!

http://www.mobilephonesdirect[....]a-z1-compact-white#pay-monthly
can get 500 mins unlimited texts and data fro £27/month and £20 extra for phone..which seems like quite a good deal for a flagship spec device in the UK!
