The message and software update are a load of tosh. It just turns on out of the blue with no word or warning.

Gotta do some tests to see if it has improved in building signal in certain areas that were poor on 3G. Only thing I'm unsure of is the frequency they are using so far. I know they have 1800 and 800, with the latter hopefully being the saving grace for areas without 2G fallback as the standard 2100 for 3G just don't cut it in buildings a lot of the time.

Three store told me the same thing I just have to wait for my area. For some reason though I cannot pick up 4G in any other areas of Birmingham. She said I will get a message which will update everything

I got a software update on iPhone but no software update on Nokia 1520. And there was no message from 3 4g just popped up. Still waiting for them to increase the coverage though

I find it bizarre that 3 are making you wait @ bono
My area isn't getting 4g for god knows yet my account
Is activated and picking up 4g in surrounding other areas

Apparently Hans many on EE network here had problems with calls on 4G. The handover process between 3G & 4G cells was poor & calls dropped or didn't connect at all. They were complained about on Watchdog tv show

slight variation of topic but still 3 related.... Has anyone using a htc One got the kitkat update yet and has it made your 4G experience better.?

I don't have a HTC One but what is wrong with the 4g experience ?

I do have HTC One running KitKat. 4g is fast, no issues. Vodafone.nl
