but you gotta give apple props for the consistency.
they never disappoint to disappoint ... the legion of android fans.
sorry android, apple's not in the mood to participate in the specs wars
android fans seriously have no business taunting them.
apple is just serving its established market.
their final products are what they think their market wants. |

Well, the problem is what apple an their hardcore-fans think of the iProducts.
They think that everything made in Cupertino ist absolutely the best on market and everybody else is a copycat.
If this company would act more human and modest (a bit) than it would be ok.

The fact Apple sells so may units of the iphone and the rest of their products, shows whatever they are doing still works and their fan base is satisfied and happy. Moving to a larger size was inevitable, market research was plenty enough to convince apple but I do wonder if Jobs were still alive, if such a move would have occurred or apple would have stuck with a smaller screen, 4.3 instead of 4.7.
Only reason android is more popular is due to the large amount of products on the market from so many manufacturers. So apple being just the one and selling so many units shows people want the device for the simplicity and no headache use.
Is the new iphone or iwatch revolutionary? nope, are they good products? sure, the iphone is good
but maybe not so much the watch, it is average and nothing in the smartwatch world will replace the normal analog watch.

According to a designer who works at Apple, Jonathan Ive, Apple’s design chief, in bragging about how cool he thought the iWatch was shaping up to be, gleefully said Switzerland is in trouble — though he chose a much bolder term for "trouble" to express how he thought the watchmaking nation might be in a tough predicament when Apple’s watch comes out.
No watch maker in switzerland has anything to worry about, let alone from apple. Last time I checked most of these companies make watches that cost more than apple's laptops and are made out of materials apple could only dream of. The fact apple was able to lure Patrick Pruniax from Tag Hauer means nothing now, he was hired this summer and the watch was in development already for 3 years and he added jack to it, perhaps the new model next year? or whenever will be better, but as it stands now, the watch is boring and lacks excitement.
Yes the iphone will sell and sell out as it always does but compared to the note the larger 5.5 inch iphone brings nothing new or better, I would have thought a pen would have been provided but nope. guess Apple didn't want to copy samsung, woops.
Sorry for the rant. |

That 8MP camera though...4 years in a row. They seriously messed that up!
I really hoped it was gonna be the rumoured 1/2.3" 13MP Sony sensor, which would've seriously rocked. Does anyone know if Sony have actually made this sensor? Or will make this, because that would be the best camera in Android/iOS.
Also the Z4 is getting the thinner 1/2.4" sensor? |

I hardly doubt any android fans actually hate the iPhones..its more to do with the stupid fans and their pricing..actually more to do with the fans.I mean iPhones are not THE BEST,its great just like Android Flagships..If any is best or not depends on the User & his requirements. Its the fans and the general perception that i am better than you coz i have an iPhone that putts many off
and Apple no more is a great innovator like they use to be..mainly to do with technological saturation but still..and Androids with their pace of new products always bring newer hardware and features.

Its 20.7mp my dear. 8mp is only set for intelligent auto mode. There are still 15mp you can choose. And usually 8mp for me is also way too much. My NEX6 picture size was only set to 7mp. |

Well 1/2.4 is not a standard sensor size and it would make no sense for sony to use such a size, I explained many many many pages back that there would be no space saving benefits from using such a sensor, instead, evolving the 1/2.3 sensor to be smaller would be the better option.
Hopefully the Z4 will have the curved 1/2.3 sensor. Fingers crossed. |

Anyone thinks that the smartwatch 3 is a bit disappointing in terms of design and generally compared to its rivals? especially to apple watch. it's like they don't care much about it. personally i don't care much about smart watches but it seems a bit strange. i would expect better from sony for third generation.

all of Sony year end devices are a bit lacking compare to the competitors, its like they knew the sales would be low to even bother or something. Z3 looks great but they went with lower res screen and most importantly older SoC while others got the latest and greatest. They have been criticize for ages releasing hardware with outdated spec and surprised everyone with Z ultra, but now they are taking a step back again. |

It's not really a step back but a safe risk to not step forward too early. Safe since 801 is not that old compared to 805 and that could mean that it might be cheaper than the 805, plus it has the integrated cellular radios unlike the latter which could add to cost. Safe, again, since 1080p in a 5.2" display would have minute to none visible difference to QHD in the same display size, battery life should be better, and the panels should be cheaper. A risk since those might affect the perception of the average consumer, resulting to lower sales. I think they did their homework, that the sales should it be higher with 805 and QHD less the cost of production would result to less profit than with the sales of 801 and FHD less it's cost of production.
