You're delusional if you believe that.
A glass Arc is fragile as f**k. Even if it's real, doesn't change that it's ridiculously stupid.

@XperiaJunkie
More accurately, a user named ardian wrote here that the next flagship (not z2 ultra) will have arc with xperia z design. though, he has no record of any previous true info. future will tell how reliable he is.
aside of the info here from milukugiuniu, at least now we know that the design will be entirely new according to doomlord. he is reliable.

yet another new information from other user at the same thread: "I have some info from an insider.. Xperia Z series is likely to end with Z2 it seems... Xperia X is being considered to be the next Xperia flagship.. Also Xperia X series phones will have an entirely new and unique design, very different interface..": http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2725781&page=3
i don't know about you but i'll take that with a grain of salt until someone here can confirm...

Oh dear, I hope that is not true, why would they change flagship naming AGAIN after the S, T, Z changes that we've seen??? They need to pick a damn name and stick with it, keep some consistency and not confuse customers so much.
Just when the Z series is picking up momentum. I actually like the Xperia Z branding, it rolls off tongue easy, and so far Sony has released devices on the bleeding edge of tech in some way under the Z name and adding Ultra and Tablet brands under it was smart, people know what to expect; when it's a Zseries it's a top spec product.

as mentioned in that thread, there was an X1 and X10 already, why go back to that name, don't believe in the name change, sony has invested too much in the Z name, and will stick with it, it's only logical.

It won't be X. Nokia has X with a new UI though.

Screw it, maybe they should just call it the Xperia One. That's the trend right now isn't it?

Why is everyone under the impression that a glass Arc design would be so fragile? Have you actually seen the Xperia Arc? It's not a drastic curve. It's very slight.

If it was tempered glass then it will be much better, glass thought fragile compared to some other materials, but it can be made strong and resist breakage...

hell my weight scale is made out of tempered glass and it's rated at 200KG... of course that's a 8mm sheet of glass

but really manufacturing wise, a curved glass is hard to make, specially with polished shiny surface... it's like doing a lens !! which will be harder and more expensive as it will require polishing each back glass individually !!

The idea is awesome if implemented correctly, but the problem is with manufacturing costs and supply quantity can stop it...

That looks quite nice. Less bezel at the bottom if I am not mistaken, and 32gb!

Looks cool! But top bazel should have been even smaller.
