yeah that site got me exited at first then I realize its a Sony site. Will wait for GSM arena. The samples from the Russian site is has lot of noise in full size, not much better than any other phones which the BOINZ image processing is suppose to help. But 20 MP downsample should make it better than others downsamples I hope. |

there isn't any real concrete information as to the video recording framerate huh?
I'm thinking that since the camera can do burst mode at 60 frames in 2 seconds at 20mp, then surely it can do 60fps at 1080p.. i haven't been able to find any concrete, official information though
Yeah it's kind of a disappointment, my guess is since Z1 lacks image stabilisation, they made a strong software stabilisation on the go, so it consumes a lot of Snapdragon 800 power, thus it's able to do only 30fps.

Even I am surprised by its lack of up to date features like OIS. I would have thought that was a smartphone flagship standard going forward into the second half of 2013. Its certainly a feature I would want if I was buying a phone this year.
If I were a Sony fan, i'd just wait for their next flagship due in 4 months time. Or go for the Nokia (Microsoft) 1020 with its better camera, screen, UI etc.

I fancy a change but don't know whether to go for the Z1, S4 or G2. |

Don't know about the Z1 but the S4 is a great device in every way and the G2 looks very promising, just wish it had expandable memory and I would have considering giving it a chance

Great hardware and software, awful update policy though.

Unfortunately, the same can be expected for Z1... |
